Purpose: In breast cancer (BC), neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) responses can be categorized as concentric shrinkage (CS), non-concentric shrinkage (non-CS), and complete response, influencing surgical planning and survival. This study evaluates the correlation between histopathological and radiological response patterns in BC patients after NAC and their impact on overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS).
Patients And Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 168 BC patients who received NAC between 2018 and 2022.
Objectives: This study investigated the utility of specific predictive and discriminative items within the Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) for distinguishing between autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disability (ID), and co-occurring ASD + ID in children.
Methods: A total of 137 children aged 4 to 12 years (52 typically developing (TD), 34 ASD, 26 ID, 25 ASD + ID) were included in the study. Cognitive development assessments were conducted for the ASD, ID, and ASD + ID groups in suitable cases.
Background: No-reflow is a critical adverse event associated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), particularly during saphenous vein graft (SVG) procedures. The Naples Prognostic Score (NPS) reflects inflammatory status, but its relationship with no-reflow remains unclear. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between NPS and no-reflow occurrence following SVG PCI.

This study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of the Naples prognostic score (NPS), which reflects nutritional and inflammatory status, in CAS patients.
Methods: We retrospectively included 697 patients who underwent CAS from January 2016 to December 2020 at our institute.
Background: The precise etiology of hypoplasia of the posterior mitral valve leaflet (PMVL) remains incompletely elucidated; however, it has been hypothesized to stem from genetic mutations occurring during fetal development. Herein, we present the anatomical characteristics of the mitral valve and associated cardiac pathologies in patients with hypoplastic PMVL.
Methods: This single-center retrospective study involved patients who presented between 2015 and 2021 at a tertiary healthcare facility.
Coronary collateral flow (CCF) is crucial for myocardial viability in patients with obstructive coronary artery disease, specifically ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). However, hypertension can contribute to vascular dysfunction and hinder the formation of CCF. Wide pulse pressure (WPP), defined as ≥65 mmHg, may better reflect impaired cardiovascular health compared to classic blood pressure indices.

In particular, we investigated the impact of these microorganisms on oxidative stress, chlorophyll content, and sugar and protein levels in cotton plants, and how these changes in the plant affect the survival, development, reproduction, and ultimately population growth of the pest. A longer preadult period, lower preadult survival rate, and lower reproduction were obtained for the pest cohort feeding on treated plants, which resulted in lower population parameters, i.

Purpose: It is well-documented that people with inflammatory arthritis (IA) exhibit a high prevalence of symptoms related to anxiety and depression. Less is known about what contributes to good mental health in people with IA. Therefore, this study aims to explore how some patients maintain good mental health despite living with IA.

This retrospective, observational study involved 121 patients receiving unprotected LMCA PCI.The study's primary end point was MACE, including all-cause death, repeat revascularization and myocardial reinfarction.

The study was conducted with 150 mothers of children aged 2-6, who applied to the Pediatrics Polyclinic of Başkent University Ankara Hospital, between December 2022 and February 2023.

Methods: The study was conducted between October 16, 2023, and January 16, 2024, with participants consisting of volunteers from dental faculties in Turkey. A total of 335 undergraduate students and 62 specialty students participated in the survey, which utilized non-probability convenience and snowball sampling methods.
Introduction: As with many genetic diseases, the diagnostic role of next-generation sequencing is invaluable for early-onset epileptic encephalopathies. SNARE proteins in synaptic vesicles (synaptobrevin-2) and synaptic plasma membrane (syntaxin-1, SNAP-25) are involved in synaptic exocytosis and recycling.
Patient Presentation: Here, we report a patient that started in early childhood with seizures resistant to antiepileptic drugs, then developed epileptic encephalopathy.
Dental fillings, frequently used in dentistry to address various dental tissue issues, may pose problems when not aligned with the anatomical contours and physiology of dental and periodontal tissues. Our study aims to detect the prevalence and distribution of normal and overhanging filling restorations using a deep CNN architecture trained through supervised learning, on panoramic radiography images. A total of 10480 fillings and 2491 overhanging fillings were labeled using CranioCatch software from 2473 and 1850 images, respectively.

Methods: This study analyzed the cases of 295 patients with NSTEMI who had undergone coronary angiography. In an effort to determine the seriousness and scope of CAD in each patient, the Synergy between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery (SYNTAX) score was calculated and then assessed.
Background: Tennis requires movement abilities in changing playing situations. This article investigates the relationship between lower extremity strength asymmetry ratio and linear and multidimensional running performances in female tennis players.
Methods: A total of 56 female tennis players, with a mean age of 15.
Background: Malnutrition and inflammation both have important impacts on medical outcomes of individuals treated by carotid artery stenting (CAS). However, their impact on the occurrence of carotid in-stent restenosis (ISR) is not sufficiently understood.
Aims: We explored the association of immune-nutritional status, as measured by the Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), with ISR in individuals who had undergone CAS.
The objective was to examine the predictive value of malnutrition, assessed via the Controlling Nutritional status (CONUT) and Prognostic Nutrition Index (PNI) scores, in the development of contrast-associated acute kidney injury (CA-AKI) following peripheral vascular intervention (PVI). This retrospective cross-sectional observational study included the enrollment of 243 consecutive patients who underwent PVI. Patients were categorized into two groups based on the occurrence of CA-AKI.

Invasive diagnostic methods are increasingly being replaced by peripheral or minimally invasive biomarkers that give results faster and are more secure.
Purpose: We aimed to evaluate serum glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), S100B, and ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase (UCHL-1) levels in children with epilepsy.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which is common among women of reproductive age, is characterized by low-grade chronic inflammation and is associated with several health problems and dysbiosis. Kefir has been shown to have many beneficial health effects; however, its effect on PCOS is unknown. This study aimed to examine the effect of kefir on the intestinal microbiota and health outcomes in PCOS.

Bacterial nucleoid-associated proteins are important factors in regulation of transcription, in nucleoid structuring, and in homeostasis of DNA supercoiling. Vice versa, transcription influences DNA supercoiling and can affect DNA binding of nucleoid-associated proteins (NAPs) such as H-NS in Escherichia coli. Here we describe genetic tools to study the interplay between transcription and nucleoid-associated proteins in E.
