Background: Pediatric patients with Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) are at an increased risk of arterial and venous thromboembolism (AVTE). Although the exact mechanisms underlying AVTE remain unclear, eosinophils play a pivotal role in AVTE.
Main Body: Current guidelines lack evidence-based recommendations, particularly concerning anticoagulant and antiplatelet treatments for this condition.
In our study, we aimed to retrospectively compare vNOTES hysterectomy, a new method, with a vaginal hysterectomy (VH) and total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH). Our study included 186 hysterectomy cases (62 vNOTES hysterectomy, 62 VH, and 62 TLH) with benign indications diagnosed between 2021 and 2022. Our study is a retrospective and single-center study.

Insulin resistance is a risk factor for the occurrence of stroke. The triglyceride glucose (TyG) index is a biomarker that reflects the IR status of the body.

This study aimed to evaluate its utility in patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and unstable angina (NSTEMI-ACS) to predict 1-year major adverse cardiac events (MACE).
Methods: In all, 768 patients with NSTEMI-ACS were enrolled in the study.
The 5,6-Bis(diisopropylphosphino)acenaphthene -stabilized Sb(I) cationic compound [LSb][OTf] (OTf = CFSO) possessing two lone pairs of electrons on the Sb(I) center showed nucleophilic behavior toward methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate forming the oxidized product [LSbMe][OTf] (OTf = CFSO). Reaction of compound with Lewis acids such as GaCl and AlBr led to changes in the counteranions only giving products [LSb][GaCl] and [LSb][SbBr] , respectively. A metathesis reaction was observed when compound was reacted with PI.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the number of BoNT injections into the gastrocnemius muscle on function, muscle morphology, muscle stiffness, and muscle vascularization in children with cerebral palsy (CP).
Methods: The study included 22 children with spastic-type CP aged five to 13 years who had previously received one, two, or three BoNT injections into the gastrocnemius muscle.
Background: Our study aimed to identify the social domains that pose the greatest barriers to managing and supporting pwCF, particularly in relation to income levels.
Methods: To identify associations between income and health outcomes in pwCF in our center the shorter form of the survey "Your Current Life Situation" (YCLS) was used in face-to-face interviews. Participants were also asked to complete the validated Turkish versions of the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) and the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7) to assess depression and anxiety, respectively.
Cardiomyopathy, which is shortly defined as a disease of the myocardium, has a broad definition that includes many different diagnoses. Recent advances in cardiac imaging techniques, including basic and advanced echocardiography, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, and cardiac magnetic resonance, allow for a more accurate evaluation of volumes and thickness of cardiac chambers, systolic and diastolic function of the ventricules, and tissue structure. Multimodality imaging often provides the first clinical suspicion for specific etiologies, especially when the medical and family history is unclear, by identification of red flags of underlying systemic diseases.

In this study, our objective was to assess the clinical features of patients diagnosed with JIA who received intra-articular corticosteroid injections (IACI).
Methods: In this retrospective study, we evaluated the clinical and laboratory characteristics of 225 JIA patients monitored from January 2012 to October 2023 at a tertiary care center.
Aims: We aimed to determine the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) and to identify clinical factors associated with their use in patients with heart failure (HF) in a real-life setting.
Methods: Real-world data on Empagliflozin and Dapagliflozin use in patients with HEART failure: The RED-HEART study is a multicentre, cross-sectional and observational study that included HF patients in the outpatient setting regardless of ejection fraction from 19 cardiology centres between August 2023 and December 2023.
Results: The study population consisted of 1923 patients with HF, predominantly men (61.
Background & Aims: Adequate energy availability is essential for the body to maintain its physiological functions and achieve optimal health, especially among athletes. Unfortunately, low energy availability (LEA) is common among athletes, and it has been associated with impairments in health and performance. In contrast, an energy-restricted diet has been linked to longevity, but it is unclear how LEA affects athletes' lifespans.

Recently, identified as a prognostication factor for adverse cardiovascular events, the uric acid/albumin ratio (UAR) serves as a new marker for assessing inflammation and oxidative stress. Our objective was to investigate the association between UAR levels and repeat revascularization in young patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Objective: The exact effects of MEFV variants on inflammation are still under investigation, and reports on variants of unknown significance, particularly the E148Q variant, have been conflicting. Therefore, this study aims to investigate patients exhibiting E148Q heterozygosity, focusing on diagnoses and disease courses to assist physicians in interpreting the variant.
Methods: Data of pediatric patients presenting to the Pediatric Rheumatology clinic between November 2016 and September 2023, exhibiting only E148Q heterozygosity in MEFV gene analysis, were extracted.
Objective: Heart failure is a leading cause of death and the most common diagnosis leading to hospitalization. Its awareness is lower than that of other cardiovascular diseases, both in the general population and among patients with heart failure (HF). This study aimed to establish the current level of knowledge about HF in patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) in Türkiye.

Aims: In this study, we evaluated the prognostic value of papillary muscle-free strain in HCM patients.
Our aim is to evaluate serum Raftlin levels as a biomarker for diagnosing and monitoring disease activity in patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and Psoriatic arthritis (PsA). This trial included 40 axSpA patients, 40 PsA patients, and 40 healthy participants as the control group. Disease activity was assessed with Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score for axSpA patients and The Disease Activity Index for Psoriatic Arthritis for PsA patients.

In this study, we aimed to measure the awareness of pediatric rheumatologists about the use of RTX through a survey. Between February and March 2023, a 42-question survey was sent via email to pediatric rheumatology specialists in Turkey.

One-third of the pediatric patients present with symptoms related to the compression of the tumor mass on the surrounding anatomic structures, and paraneoplastic syndromes such as myasthenia gravis, pure red cell aplasia, acquired hypogammaglobulinemia, and connective tissue disorders, which rarely occur in children with thymic tumors. Herein, we report a case of thymic carcinoma mimicking the symptoms of a connective tissue disease with symmetrical polyarthritis accompanying myositis, fever, weight loss, and malaise in a 15-year-old male patient.
