Childhood cancer survival rates have improved, but survivors face an increased risk of second malignant neoplasms (SMNs), particularly thyroid cancer. This study examines the demographic, clinical, genetic, and treatment characteristics of childhood cancer survivors who developed thyroid cancer as a second or third malignancy, emphasizing the importance of long-term surveillance. A retrospective review was conducted for childhood cancer survivors treated between 1990 and 2018 who later developed thyroid cancer as a second or third malignancy.

Methods: The authors examined the clinical and angiographic characteristics and long-term outcomes of 232 bifurcation PCIs that were performed using the double kissing (DK) crush or culotte technique in 216 patients between 2014 and 2023 using data from the Prospective Global Registry for the Study of Bifurcation Lesion Interventions (NCT05100992). The inverse probability of treatment weighted (IPTW) Cox proportional hazards model was used to assess long-term outcomes.

Introduction: Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor found in childhood.
Case Representation: Primary renal neuroblastoma has been reported in the literature as case reports. Almost all cases had a preliminary diagnosis of Wilms tumor and were diagnosed as neuroblastoma after nephrectomy.
The outcomes of bifurcation percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients aged ≥80 and ≥90 years have received limited study. We compared the procedural characteristics and outcomes of bifurcation PCIs in patients aged ≥80 years and those aged <80 years in a multicenter registry. Of 1,253 patients who underwent 1,262 bifurcation PCIs between 2014 and 2024 at 6 centers, 194 (15%) were aged ≥80 and ≥90 years.

Methods: Between March 2023 and March 2024, a total of 88 patients underwent retrograde intrarenal surgery for lower renal calyceal stones smaller than 20 mm. Based on the access sheath used, patients were divided into two groups: Group 1 (n=43) included patients treated with novel tip-bendable suction ureteral access sheaths and Group 2 (n=45) included patients treated with standard ureteral access sheaths.
Objective: Increased survival rates in childhood cancer have led to an emphasis on the importance of treatment-related infertility. Fertility preservation methods should be explained to every patient and their families (PaFs) before treatment. Establishing good communication with PaFs is crucial in this regard despite many barriers such as cultural and financial barriers.

We compared the procedural characteristics and outcomes of patients with and without DM in 1,302 bifurcation PCIs (1,147 patients) performed at 5 centers between 2013 and 2024. The prevalence of DM was 33.

We aimed to evaluate the effect of childhood cancer type and stage, as well as elapsed time from diagnosis, on the anxiety and stress indicators among parents. : Patients aged between 0-18 years and diagnosed with cancer who were receiving chemotherapy (0-1 month, 1-6 month, 6-12 month) and completed treatment were included.

Such embolization could theoretically lead to stroke or silent brain injury (SBI). In this study, we aimed to investigate whether there is an increased risk of SBI in patients undergoing AO stent implantation.

This study aims both to compare the frequency of SCI in PCIs performed with right transradial access and left transradial access and to evaluate the influencing factors. : A prospective, single-center study included 197 patients undergoing PCI via transradial access between November 2020 and July 2022.

Standard management of these tumors has not been well established due to their rarity in this age group. We aimed to report the clinical and pathological characteristics of patients with this rare disease followed and treated between the years 1993-2022.

In our study, patients who had undergone PCI were retrospectively screened between January 2014 and July 2020. The study included 350 patients and was divided into three groups; Group I ( = 134) included patients with direct 4.

Metastatic UM differs notably from cutaneous melanoma, exhibiting variations in etiology, prognosis, driver mutations, metastatic patterns, and poor responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Beyond local treatment options, such as resection, radiation therapy, and enucleation, and systemic treatments, such as ICIs, the approval of tebentafusp, a bispecific gp100 peptide-HLA-directed CD3 T-cell engager, marks a breakthrough in treating HLA-A*02:01 metastatic UM.

Here we report the rapid healing of a leg ulcer without antiphospholipid antibody positivity in a patient with lupus in response to anticoagulant therapy. As in our case, when immunosuppressive agents are inadequate in lupus patients who develop leg ulcers, it may be beneficial to support the treatment with anticoagulants.

The present research aimed to examine the effects of different doses (100 and 200 mg) of caffeinated chewing gum on muscle strength, vertical jump performance, and ball-kicking speed in trained male soccer players. In a double-blind, randomized counterbalanced, and crossover research design, 14 male soccer players (age = 22 ± 2 y; body mass = 74.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the quality of YouTube videos about microscopic varicocelectomy.
Methods: On November 20, 2022, a YouTube search for "Microscopic Varicocelectomy" was conducted. Non-English videos uploaded by producers for commercial purposes that lacked audio and subtitles were excluded from the study.
To be able to detect possible psychological distress and long-term deterioration caused by COVID-19, following the patient, who has recovered, is crucial. Therefore, this study (i); aims to examine the ongoing fear-loss of control, the rate of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder levels following the 6th week after discharge; (ii) to examine the effect of post-traumatic stress disorder on anxiety, and depression and (iii) within the same context to reveal the developmental markers of psychiatric morbidity and the risk group. The study includes 180 patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 diagnosis.

Objective: The aim of this study was to reveal the learning curve of early apical release en bloc laser prostatectomy using a high-power thulium (200 W) laser device.
Methods: We obtained data on the initial 60 patients who had thulium laser enucleation of the prostate by a single surgeon between October 2021 and August 2022 to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia at our clinic. The cases were split into three groups, each consisting of 20 patients.
Objective: In childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), very promising results were obtained thanks to the developments in treatment strategies in recent years. However, acute complications during treatment continue to be the important causes of mortality and morbidity. In this study, acute complications that develop during the treatment of ALL in childhood were evaluated.
