Objective: Analysis of risk factors for restenosis after intervention for tuberculous airway stenosis.
Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of patients diagnosed with tuberculous airway stenosis in the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University and Lanzhou Pulmonary Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023. The patients were divided into the restenosis group and the non-restenosis group according to whether or not restenosis occurred in the airway within 1 year after the intervention, and the differences in the clinical data between the two groups were compared, and the variables with statistically significant differences in the univariate analysis were analyzed by multifactorial binary logistic regression.

Composition-adjustable semiconductor nanomaterials have garnered significant attention due to their controllable bandgaps and electronic structures, providing alternative opportunities to regulate photoelectric properties and develop the corresponding multifunction optoelectronic devices. Nevertheless, the large-scale integration of semiconductor nanomaterials into practical devices remains challenging. Here, we report a synthesis strategy for the well-aligned horizontal CdSSe ( = 0-1) nanowall arrays, which are guided grown on an annealed M-plane sapphire using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approaches.

Few studies have explored the effect of community environment on the development trajectory and the cohort differences of depressive symptoms in Chinese individuals.
Methods: Based on the longitudinal data of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) from 2011 to 2020, using three-level hierarchical linear growth model, this study examined the effect of community environment on the trajectory of depressive symptoms and cohort differences among middle-aged and older Chinese adults in five cohorts from 1920 to 1929, 1930-1939, 1940-1949, 1950-1959, and 1960-1966.
Background: The aim of this study was to explore the molecular mechanism of quercetin in the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage.
Methods: Quercetin target genes and intracerebral hemorrhage target genes were collected from 5 databases. After standardized conversion of the obtained target genes through uniprot database, cross genes of the 2 were obtained using Venny 2.
Structural health monitoring ensures the safety and longevity of structures like buildings and bridges. As the volume and scale of structures and the impact of their failure continue to grow, there is a dire need for SHM techniques that are scalable, inexpensive, can operate passively without human intervention, and are customized for each mechanical structure without the need for complex baseline models. We present a novel "deploy-and-forget" approach for automated detection and localization of damage in structures.

A rationally designed amphiphilic block copolymer, poly(ethylene glycol)--poly(diselenolane diol-co-isophorone diisocyanate)--poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG--PUSe--PEG), which incorporates dangling diselenolane groups within the hydrophobic PU segments, was initially synthesized through the polycondensation reaction. In aqueous media, this type of amphiphilic block copolymer can self-assemble into micellar aggregates and encapsulate DOX within the micellar core, forming DOX-loaded micelles that are subsequently in situ core-crosslinked by diselenides via a visible-light-triggered metathesis reaction of Se-Se bonds.

Medullary thyroid cancer (MTC), an aggressive neuroendocrine tumor, expresses neurotransmitter calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), is insensitive to chemo- and radiotherapies, and the effectiveness of immunotherapies remains unknown. Thus, a comprehensive analysis of the tumor microenvironment would facilitate effective therapies and provide evidence on CGRP's function outside the nervous system.

The advancement of deep learning has led to the success of convolutional neural networks in target segmentation. However, due to challenges like small target scales, weak signals, and strong background interference in infrared images, convolutional neural networks often face issues like leakage and misdetection in small target segmentation tasks.

To characterize the composition of adaptive immune cells in the peripheral blood of AD patients, we utilized single-cell mass cytometry (CyTOF) to profile peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Concurrently, we assessed the concentration of proteins associated with AD and neuroinflammation in the plasma of the same subjects.

Hot-rolled backup rolls are widely used in steel rolling and usually need to be repaired by arc hardfacing after becoming worn. However, a corrugated-groove defect commonly occurs on the roll surface due to the uneven hardness distribution in the hardfacing layers, affecting the proper usage of the roll. Accordingly, a new swing-arc submerged arc welding (SA-SAW) process is proposed to attempt to solve this drawback.

The foundation model has recently garnered significant attention due to its potential to revolutionize the field of visual representation learning in a self-supervised manner. While most foundation models are tailored to effectively process RGB images for various visual tasks, there is a noticeable gap in research focused on spectral data, which offers valuable information for scene understanding, especially in remote sensing (RS) applications. To fill this gap, we created for the first time a universal RS foundation model, named SpectralGPT, which is purpose-built to handle spectral RS images using a novel 3D generative pretrained transformer (GPT).

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the most common microvascular complications in diabetes and can potentially develop into end-stage renal disease. Its pathogenesis is complex and not fully understood. Podocytes, glomerular endothelial cells (GECs), glomerular mesangial cells (GMCs) and renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs) play important roles in the normal function of glomerulus and renal tubules, and their injury is involved in the progression of DN.

Plitidepsin (or dehydrodidemnin B), an approved anticancer drug, belongs to the didemnin family of cyclic depsipeptides, which are found in limited quantities in marine tunicate extracts. Herein, we introduce a new approach that integrates microbial and chemical synthesis to generate plitidepsin and its analogues. We screened a Tistrella strain library to identify a potent didemnin B producer, and then introduced a second copy of the didemnin biosynthetic gene cluster into its genome, resulting in a didemnin B titer of approximately 75 mg/L.
