Objective: To show mutational analysis for androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS)-associated male pseudohermaphroditism (MPH).
Design: Case report.
Setting: Key laboratory of endocrinology at a university hospital.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of testosterone replacement therapy in patients with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism (HH) on insulin sensitivity and high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP).
Methods: 21 males with HH, aged 15 - 30, and 18 age, and BMI-matched healthy males underwent detection of homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR). Second, the values of weight, abdominal circumstance, grips strength, body composition, total testosterone (TT), fast blood glucose and insulin, serum lipid profile, and hsCRP were compared before and after 9-month testosterone replacement therapy in the HH patient group.

Objective: To report on a series of patients with congenital anosmia, and to discuss its classification and clinical characteristics.
Methods: Eight patients with congenital anosmia were reviewed retrospectively. Four of eight cases were congenital anosmia with other abnormalities, including three cases with Kallmann's syndrome, one with hypoplasia of nasal cavity and nasal sinus.

Objective: To investigate the puberty timing in healthy adolescent boys in Daqing city in northern China.
Methods: A cross-sectional and longitudinal combined survey was performed. On 150 male students aged 6-15.
Objective: To investigate the relationship between hypogonadism and insulin resistance in young male.
Methods: Twenty-one hypogonadism young males aged 15 to 30 years were included in the clinical trial group, and 11 healthy young males of similar age and BMI in the control. Height, weight, serum FSH, LH, total testosterone (TT), nuclear type and bone age were measured for all the subjects.

Humid solid state reaction at room temperature was utilized for the first time to coat Y(2)O(3):Eu(3+) particles with alumina. The particles were studied with an X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS), a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). XPS results show that the yttrium and europium contents are decreased and that the aluminum content is the highest except for that of oxygen after coating.

Synthetic oligodeoxynuleotides containing CpG motifs were ligated into pUC18, forming recombinant pUC18-CpG plasmid. Eukaryotic plasmid expressing porcine interleukin-6 (VPIL-6) were also constructed as molecular adjuvants in an attempt to enhance levels of immune responses of mice co-administered with the trivalent vaccines in this paper.

An indirect ELISA was used to quantify the amount of IgG in the sera from mice that had been inoculated with VPIL-6, a recombinant VR1020 vector into which had been inserted the porcine IL-6 gene cloned in our laboratory, or with CpG, pUC18 or VR1020. The induced bioactivity of IL-2 of lymphocytes in the spleen was assayed by the MTT method, and the proliferation of lymphocytes stimulated with ConA was tested to identify the immune response of the experimental mice.
