Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) frequently occurs as a secondary condition in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Objective: To explore the relationship of lncRNA FTX and miR-186-5p levels with DPN in T2DM.

Methods: The study enrolled 50 patients with T2DM and 45 patients with DPN.
