Introduction: With the wide application of iodine contrast media (ICM), the occurrence of allergic-like reactions to iodine contrast media (ALR-ICM) has increased. Strategies for the prevention and management of ALR-ICM need to be identified to provide quality care to patients undergoing enhanced computed tomography.
Aim: The overarching aim of this project was to improve the prevention and management of ALR-ICM at a medical imaging center of a nearly 5,000-bed tertiary hospital in China.
Introduction: The therapeutic potential of fucoidan (FUC), a natural polysaccharide, in metabolic disorders is recognized, yet its underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
Methods: We conducted investigations into the therapeutic mechanisms of FUC sourced from Sargassum fulvellum concerning metabolic disorders induced by a high-sucrose diet (HSD), employing Drosophila melanogaster and mice models. Drosophila larvae were subjected to HSD exposure to monitor growth inhibition, reduced pupation, and developmental delays.
Objective: To investigate the characteristics of fat content and component in IFP using hydrogen proton MR spectroscopy (H-MRS), and to explore the correlation with the severity of OA, Hoffa-synovitis, and knee pain.
Materials And Methods: 80 volunteers were enrolled. Subjects were grouped based on Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grading.
Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of fat fraction (FF) and T2* relaxation based on DIXON in the assessment of infrapatellar fat pad (IFP) for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) progression in older adults.
Methods: Ninety volunteers (age range 51-70 years, 65 females) were enrolled in this study. Participants were grouped based on the Kellgren-Lawrence grading (KLG).
