The widespread use of antimicrobial agent triclosan (TCS) poses significant health risks to both aquatic organisms and humans. The research on its neurotoxicity and underlying mechanisms is, however, limited. Here we first conducted a 32-day exposure experiment with five TCS concentrations (10, 30, 60, 90 and 120 µg/L) to investigate its impact on overall gene expression in Rana omeimontis larvae.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is one of the critical pathogens causing diarrhea in piglets and has caused huge economic losses to the swine industry in worldwide. However, there is currently no effective therapeutic medication available for the treatment of PEDV. Natural compounds are a hot topic for researching and screening antiviral lead compounds due to their abundant sources, varied activities, and low toxicity.

Circular RNA ABCB10 (circ‑ABCB10) modulates cellular functions and microRNA (miR)‑1271 in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). The present study aimed to investigate the interaction between circ‑ABCB10 and miR‑1271 in regulating EOC cellular function and the calpain small subunit 1 (Capn4)/Wnt/β‑catenin signaling pathway. circ‑ABCB10 and miR‑1271 expression levels were detected in EOC cells (OVCAR3, UWB1.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the correlation of circular RNA ABCB10 (circ-ABCB10) expression with clinicopathological features and survival, as well as its impact on regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC).

Methods: A total of 103 EOC patients were consecutively recruited, then their tumor tissues were obtained for circ-ABCB10 detection using qRT-PCR. Additionally, 53 EOC adjacent tissues were collected as control.

6-benzylaminopurine (6-BA) is widely used in agriculture and horticulture as plant growth regulator. Its excessive use may pose a potential risk to both environment and human health, which is causing great concern. This study was undertaken to assess the acute developmental toxicity of 6-BA to zebrafish embryos based on OECD protocols and mortality, hatching rate and malformation were investigated.

Objective: To investigate the effect of mitochondrial permeability transition pore inhibitor cyclosporine A (CsA) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury in mice.

Methods: All male ICR mice were randomly divided into five groups (n = 24): control group, LPS group, dexamethasone group, cyclosporine A(CsA) group and CsA + atractyloside(Atr) group. Six hours after treatment with LPS, the activity of lactate dehydrogenlase (LDH) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and level of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in lung tissue were detected.

Objective: To investigate cell apoptosis induced by survivin ASODN and clarify the precise mechanism of anti-apoptotic action of survivin.

Methods: Cells of lung cancer cell line NCI-H446 were treated with survivin ASODN at different concentrations. The changes of survivin mRNA and protein expression were assessed by RT-PCR and Western blot assay.

Objective: To study the diagnostic significance of the expression of survivin mRNA in transbronchial biopy samples and sputum samples in lung cancer.

Methods: The resected lung cancer tissues and their para-carcinomatous normal tissue specimens of 41 patients with lung cancer and tissue specimens of 9 patients with benign pulmonary diseases were studied. 110 bronchial biopsy specimens from 80 patients with lung cancer and 30 patients with benign pulmonary diseases and their 160 sputum samples were also evaluated.
