We aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of endoscopic resection for the treatment of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) under single-channel gastroscopy and double-channel gastroscopy. We identified 154 patients with GISTs of the stomach who underwent endoscopic resection and were retrospectively analyzed at our hospital between May 2016 and March 2020, including 49 patients by single-channel gastroscopy and 105 patients by double-channel gastroscopy. We observed the clinical efficacy, complications, and safety of endoscopic resection of gastric GISTs, and the data were evaluated retrospectively.

Article Synopsis
  • The systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) is an important predictor for cancer outcomes, but its specific role in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) patients was unclear, prompting a meta-analysis.
  • Researchers analyzed multiple studies to assess the relationship between preoperative SII levels and survival rates in CCA patients.
  • The findings revealed that higher preoperative SII scores are linked to poorer overall survival rates in CCA patients following surgery, confirming SII's value as a survival indicator.

Up to now, a variety of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have been proved to have good therapeutic effects in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the effects of their applications in liver transplant (LT) recipients are still unclear. In this analysis report, the clinical applications and therapeutic effects of ICIs on LT recipients with hepatic tumor recurrence or carcinoma based on eight databases, including PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Google Scholar, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, and CQVIP, were investigated.

Dysregulation of gene amplification, cell-signaling-pathway transduction, epigenetic and transcriptional regulation, and protein interactions drives tumor-cell proliferation and invasion, while ion channels also play an important role in the generation and development of tumor cells. Overexpression of Ca-activated Cl- channel anoctamin 1 (ANO1) is shown in numerous cancer types and correlates with poor prognosis. However, the mechanisms involved in ANO1-mediated malignant cellular transformation and the role of ANO1 in tumor immunity remain unknown.

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 α (HNF4α) is an important transcription factor that acts as a pro-proliferative mediator during tumorigenesis, yet its function in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. Hence, this study aims to explore roles that HNF4α plays in the CRC development. RNA quantification analysis was conducted to characterize the expression pattern of long intergenic noncoding RNA 00511 (LINC00511)/HNF4α/IL-24 in CRC tissues and cell lines.
