Association of preoperative IL-6 levels with overt HE in patients with cirrhosis after TIPS.

Background: HE is a common and dangerous complication after TIPS. The relationship between IL-6 levels and overt HE (OHE) after TIPS is rarely reported.We aimed to explore the relationship between the preoperative serum IL-6 levels and OHE risk after TIPS, and to evaluate its value in predicting the OHE risk.

Efficacy of apatinib combined with FOLFIRI in the first-line treatment of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of apatinib combined with FOLFIRI in the first-line treatment of advanced metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) and explore potential factors of efficacy.

Methods: Twenty mCRC patients treated at Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from March 2017 to March 2019 were included according to the enrolment criteria. They provided informed consent and were treated with apatinib combined with FOLFIRI according to the scheduled regimen until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurred.

The Clinicopathological Characteristics and Prognoses of dMMR Gastric Adenocarcinoma Patients.

Background: Few studies on the clinicopathological features and prognosis of DNA mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR) gastric cancer (GC) have been reported, and no clear conclusions have been drawn about the factors affecting the prognosis of dMMR GC. The aim of this study was to explore the clinicopathological characteristics and prognoses of dMMR GC patients.

Methods: From May 2011 to November 2020, GC patients who underwent surgery with dMMR confirmed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) at the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Shanxi Medical University were selected.
