Methods: The absolute counts of T, CD4 T, CD8 T, natural killer (NK), NKT and B lymphocytes in 217 cases of PTB were detected, and the variations in lymphocyte subset counts between different ages and genders and between aetiological detection results and chest radiography results were analysed.
Results: In 75.
Background: The traditional Chinese medicine NiuBeiXiaoHe (NBXH) extract and Chinese medicine preparation JieHeWan (JHW) exhibit anti-tuberculosis effects. The anti- tuberculosis effect of NBXH was compared with that of JHW to elucidate the mechanism of action of NBXH.
Methods: BALB/c mice aged 6-8 weeks were randomly divided into a normal control group, Tuberculosis (TB) model group, JHW treatment group, and NBXH treatment group.
Introduction: This phase I clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the safety of RP22 as a skin test reagent for tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis and to explore the appropriate dosage.
Methods: We used a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled identification allergen (IA) skin test. A total of 72 healthy adult volunteers with negative chest X-ray results were randomized into six groups and given a QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT) test.
Hematological malignancies are increasingly treated with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). Unfortunately, iron overload is a frequent adverse effect of allo-HSCT and is associated with poor prognosis. In the present study, we investigated hematopoiesis in iron-overloaded mice and elucidated the effects of iron overload on the bone marrow (BM) microenvironment.

However, the relationship between IIRG polymorphisms and TB risk remains unknown. In this study, the gene polymorphisms and their association with tuberculosis were determined in a Chinese population.

The detection of the anti-TB antibody has an important, auxiliary, clinical diagnostic value. Therefore, TB antibody detection kits should be screened and evaluated, and the reagents with the highest sensitivity and specificity should be chosen and used clinically.

Severe immunodeficiency or immune disorders may be the main reason for TB recurrence. This study aimed to quantify serum inflammatory cytokine and soluble adhesion molecule levels in Re-treated smear-positive PTB patients before and after re-anti-TB drug therapy.

Methods: Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats of 2~3 weeks old were selected to isolate and culture BMSCs. A lentivirus harboring pLVX-miR-21 was generated and transfected into rat BMSCs.
Objective: The present study aimed to establish an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) cells in vitro and identify their biological characteristics.
Methods: Cells from the AML-infiltrated skin from an M6 patient were infected with a lentivirus carrying OCT4, SOX2, KLF4 and C-MYC to induce iPSCs. The characteristics of the iPSCs were confirmed by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining.
Objective: The study aimed to explore the effects of blood purification (BP) on serum levels of inflammatory cytokines and cardiac function in a rat model of sepsis.
Methods: A rat model of sepsis was established by cecal ligation and puncture. All rats were divided into the normal control, sham operation, model, sham treatment, and BP treatment groups.

Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) constitutes the main reservoir for reactivation tuberculosis. The finding of potential biomarkers for differentiating between TB and LTBI is very necessary. In this study, the immunological characteristics and potential diagnostic utility of Rv2029c, Rv2628 and Rv1813c proteins were assessed.

Background: The latency-associated antigen Rv2659c is a starvation-related protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis). It has potential use in tuberculosis (TB) control, but its immunological characteristics in Chinese populations are unclear.

Methods: Genetic polymorphisms of CES1 in 473 tuberculosis patients with or without hepatotoxicity (200:273) after antituberculosis chemotherapy were analyzed by PCR-MassArray.
Results: In 4 tags of CES1 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), the frequency of the rs1968753 allele had statistical difference between the hepatotoxicity group and the no-hepatotoxicity group(P = 0.
1. The present study investigated the relationship between antituberculosis (anti-TB) drug-induced hepatotoxicity and genetic polymorphisms of two important drug-metabolizing enzymes involved in the metabolism of isoniazid, namely N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) and cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1). 2.

Methods: Blood samples from 101 tuberculosis cases with antituberculosis drug-induced hepatotoxicity and from 107 tuberculosis without antituberculosis drug-induced hepatotoxicity were collected for a case-control study. DNA of the subjects was extracted and amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

This study was aimed to investigate the effect of sodium valproate(VPA) on human myelodysplastic syndrome cell line SKM-1 and its mechanism. The cell proliferation was determined by MTT assay, cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry. The expressions of c-flipl, c-flips and dlk1 mRNA were detected by RT-PCR.

Genotypic analysis of SM resistance in 167 M. tuberculosis clinical strains isolated from Chinese patients was performed by direct DNA sequencing, SSCP, RFLP, and reverse dot-blot hybridization (RDBH) assays.
