A new cycloheptane derivative from the fungus JT-8.

A new highly oxygenated cycloheptane derivative crustane (), along with fourteen known compounds (-) were isolated from JT-8. The structure of compound was determined by extensive spectroscopic data, DP4+ probability analyses and dimolybdenum CD method. Compound exhibited moderate antibacterial activity against with MIC of 4.

Bioactive sesterterpenoids from the fungus Penicillium roqueforti YJ-14.

Seven previously undescribed sesterterpenes were characterized from Penicillium roqueforti YJ-14 by solid fermentation. Their structures were initially investigated in detail by spectroscopic analyses and HR-ESI-MS and were further confirmed by X-crystallography. In in vitro bioassays, compounds 1, 5 and 7 showed cytotoxic activity against the MCF-7 breast cancer cell line with IC values of 7.

A new cytotoxic indole alkaloid from the fungus TY12.

A new dimeric monoterpene indole alkaloid polonidine A (), along with five known compounds, cyclopenol (), verrucosidin (), fructigenine A (), 3-O-methylviridicatin () and aurantiomides C (), were isolated from TY12. Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses. Compound exhibited moderate cytotoxic activities and moderate antibacterial activity against with MIC of 4.

A new tremulane sesquiterpene from by solid-state fermentation.

A new tremulane sesquiterpene, lactedine (), along with seven known tremulane sesquiterpenes (-) and one known triterpene () were isolated from the fungus . Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic data and DP4+ probability analyses.
