Background: A consensus has been reached that carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) screening in immunosuppressed individuals can reduce the incidence of CRE bloodstream infection (BSI).

- * Results showed significantly higher levels of IL-17 and IFN-gamma in infected mice compared to controls, indicating that S. japonicum infection promotes the production of Th17 cells, which secrete certain cytokines but do not express IL-10 or Foxp3.
