A fish processed with red vinasse is a type of Fujian cuisine with regional characteristics. In order to monitor the effect of red vinasse on storage quality and shelf life of blue round scad () during storage, the changes in fat content, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), composition of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), pH value, texture, and sensory quality were studied at different storage temperatures (4 °C, 25 °C, and 37 °C). By analyzing the correlation between changes in sensory qualities and physical and chemical indexes, a first-order kinetic model and the Arrhenius equation were used to build a shelf-life prediction model for blue round scad during storage.

Due to climate change and environmental pollution, natural lakes and reservoir water suffer increasingly serious algal blooms and associated water quality problems due to the presence of algal or algogenic organic matter (AOM) such as algal odour and toxins. Effective removal of these micropollutants, especially in the event of algal blooms, is critical to aesthetic values of water bodies, drinking water security and human health. The study investigated the removal efficiency of two common odorous compounds, trans-1,10-dimethyl-trans-9-decalol (geosmin) and 2-Methylisoborneol (2-MIB), using foam fractionation enabled by air nanobubbles with addition of two common cationic and anionic surfactants, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), to enhance foaming ability and stability.

Social media has profoundly changed our modes of self-expression, communication, and participation in public discourse, generating volumes of conversations and content that cover every aspect of our social lives. Social media platforms have thus become increasingly important as data sources to identify social trends and phenomena. In recent years, academics have steadily lost ground on access to social media data as technology companies have set more restrictions on Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) or entirely closed public APIs.

Reaction of the nitrosylated-iron metallodithiolate ligand, paramagnetic (NO)Fe(NS), with [M(CHCN)][BF] salts (M = Ni, Pd, and Pt; = 4 or 6) affords di-radical tri-metallic complexes in a stairstep type arrangement ([FeMFe], M = Ni, Pd, and Pt), with the central group 10 metal held in a MS square plane. These isostructural compounds have nearly identical (NO) stretching values, isomer shifts, and electrochemical properties, but vary in their magnetic properties. Despite the intramolecular Fe⋯Fe distances of 6 Å, antiferromagnetic coupling is observed between {Fe(NO)} units as established by magnetic susceptibility, EPR, and DFT studies.
