Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the expression of TNF-α and NF-κB/p65 in Lichen planus skin lesions and their correlation with the pathogenesis of Lichen planus.

CAR-T cells therapy can give rise to most common and concerning two side effects - cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity. But in our CD19 CAR-T cells therapy clinical trial, we observed 1 out of 17 patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) developed acute myelofibrosis(AMF) after grade IV CRS post to the CD19 CAR-T cells therapy. This finding suggests that the CAR-T cells therapy may have rare and serious AMF, which we should pay important attention to.

Background/aims: Preeclampsia (PE) is a gestational disorder defined as hypertension and proteinuria, which is deemed a major cause of maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity worldwide. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression patterns of placental laminin (LN)-α5 expression in normal and PE pregnancies, as well as evaluating the effects of LN-α5 on trophoblast proliferation, apoptosis, and invasion.

Two precocious walnut varieties, Lvling and Lvzao were used as materials in this study, the kernel fat contents and 3 related enzyme activities in different development periods after flowe-ring 50 days were analyzed. The key enzymes affecting walnut fat in different periods were illumina-ted. The results showed that the kernel fat accumulation trends of the two varieties were basically the same.

Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL), as a strong oxidant, results in renal injury through multiple mechanisms. The aim of the present study was to determine the injury effects of Ox‑LDL and the potential protective effects of the antioxidant reagent probucol on epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT) in human renal proximal tubular epithelial cells (HK‑2) and to further explore the role and interrelation of lectin‑like oxidized low‑density lipoprotein receptor‑1 (LOX‑1), reactive oxygen species (ROS) and mitogen‑activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. In this study, mild acid hydrolysis using γ-valerolactone (GVL)/water system integrated with enzymatic hydrolysis was carried out for the enhancement of enzymatic saccharification efficiency. The quantitative analysis of soluble carbohydrates and structural characterizations of solid residues were conducted. Results showed that the soluble carbohydrates in the water-phase were mainly composed of monomers and oligomers from xylose and glucose, while the contents of which were depended on the ratio of GVL to water.

Intravenous leiomyomatosis is characterized by a proliferation of benign smooth muscular tissue growing into uterine with malignant appearance. On extremely rare occasions, the tumor may grow out of the pelvis and extend into the inferior vena cava and the right atrium. We report a case of intravenous leiomyomatosis extending into the right atrium.
