The fluorosulfonyldifluoromethylation of unactivated alkenes and (hetero)arenes with iododifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride (ICFSOF) under visible light photoredox catalysis was successfully developed. Key to the successful fluorosulfonyldifluoromethylation of aromatic compounds was the usage of AgOTf as an additive to promote the formation of the CFSOF radical. The protocol provided a straightforward way to introduce the interesting and useful CFSOF group on sp and sp carbons.

Green assets are sensitive to environmental changes and are pivotal in achieving sustainable development. Some empirical studies have shown that air pollution, as part of environmental change, affects stock market investment; however, the mechanisms by which air pollution affects investment in green assets have not been explored in depth. This study investigates the impact of air pollution on green stocks through investor sentiment and green preference.

Green bonds are becoming increasingly important in sustainable investments since their environmental protection attributes allow them to benefit from environmental degradation. However, the mechanism of environmental degradation on green bonds has not yet been studied. This study proposes a mediation model to analyze air pollution's influence on green bonds.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA concise bioinspired synthesis of nortriterpenoid propindilactone G has been accomplished from a readily accessible steroidal lactone. Key transformations include a Breslow remote functionalization, a Suárez remote radical functionalization, a ring expansion enabled by a Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement, a stereoinversion of a tertiary alcohol, and a biomimetic transesterification/oxa-Michael addition cascade. This work also provides experimental evidence of the putative propindilactone G biosynthesis pathway.
