Cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYPs), the members of the largest superfamily of enzymes in plant kingdom, catalyze a variety of functional group transformations involved in metabolite biosynthesis, end-product derivatization, and exogeneous molecule detoxification. Nevertheless, CYPs' functional characterization and practically industrial application have been largely encumbered by their critical dependency on the reducing equivalent for the catalytic cycling, driven by the tedious electron relay mediated by CYP reductase (CPR). Here, we report a photoinduced electron transfer system that initiates and sustains the CYP-catalyzed reaction cycling.

Elevated chromatin accessibility is critical for the 2C-like state to occur, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Zscan4 exhibits burst expression in 2C embryos and 2C-like cells.

The metalens achieved a 165° FOV with a high modulation transfer function (MTF) of 300 lines per millimeter (lp/mm) across the entire FOV, operating in the near-infrared (NIR) narrow-bandpass imaging at 940 nm. The performance of the metalens-based system is evaluated using two bandwidths, 12 nm and 32 nm, showing MTF values of 0.

By superimposing functional phases on one of the layers and sliding the other layer, the BMDs can achieve continuously beam deflection with beam splitting or beam focusing. It is possible to quickly switch between different functions by replacing the functional phase.

In this study, we developed a biomimetic photocatalytic system MnO/NH-UiO-66-rGO (M/UiO-rGO) with spatially separated dual cocatalysts. Among them, rGO functions to capture electrons and participates in reduction reactions, while MnO captures holes and participates in oxidation reactions.

During the peri-implantation stage, coinciding with the transition from naive to primed pluripotency, the long isoform of KDM2B (KDM2BLF) underlies the de novo establishment of polycomb repressive complex (PRC) functions at promoters after fertilization. However, it remains unclear whether and how ethanol exposure affects this spatiotemporal chromatin setting.

Agriculture is the largest anthropogenic source of NO emissions and plays a crucial role in global greenhouse gas mitigation. In an increasingly populated world with growing food demands, a precise and high-resolution spatial prediction of agricultural NO emissions becomes essential in reducing global emissions. In this study, an integrated assessment model coupled with the land cover downscaling module is employed to predict crop-specific NO emissions at a 0.

Objective: The aim of this study was to share our initial experiences with endoscopic and laparoscopic treatments for recurrent choledocholithiasis, with a particular focus on long-term complications.
Methods: From January 2014 to June 2017, a total of 153 patients with recurrent common bile duct stones were prospectively recruited in this study.
The rhizosphere microbial community helps govern biogeochemical cycling and facilitates complex plant-soil feedback. Understanding the evolutionary dynamics of microbial community structure and functional genes during vegetation succession is crucial for quantifying and understanding ecosystem processes and functions in restored sandy deserts. In this study, the rhizosphere microbial community structure of 11-66-year-old dominant shrubs in a desert revegetation area was examined using shotgun metagenomic sequencing.

Simulation results show that the metasurface is able to realize AT with more than 90% efficiency and PC fractional bandwidth of 80% over a frequency range of 0.15 to 0.

Mutations in genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins such as FRAS1, FREM1, FREM2, and the associated trafficking protein GRIP1, are implicated in Fraser syndrome. These proteins are critical for maintaining epithelial integrity during embryogenesis, with deficiencies leading to tissue detachment and blistering phenotypes in mouse models.

Here, we reported a facile hot-injection method for synthesizing a family of wurtzite CuIn(SSe) nanocrystals, enabling manipulation of the S and Se contents across the entire compositional range (0 ≤ ≤ 1). The obtained nanocrystals exhibit band gaps ranging from 1.

In , the glycan of these proteins is trimmed by the luminal mannosidase Mnl1 (Htm1) to generate a signal that triggers degradation. Curiously, Mnl1 is permanently associated with protein disulfide isomerase (Pdi1).

Hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach (HAS) is another rare subtype of GC. Its definition intersects with that of AFPGC, but it is much rarer.

Due to the lack of effective antifungal drugs and serious drug resistance, the number of people with low immunity is increasing, leading to high morbidity and mortality. Azole drugs targeting CYP51 are widely used in the treatment of invasive fungal infections.

This study provides an in-depth analysis of the interplay between the digital economy, technological progress, and their impact on the total volume and intensity of carbon emissions across 30 Chinese provinces from 2013 to 2021. Our findings reveal that while the expansion of the digital economy and technological progress contribute to an increase in the total carbon emissions, they also markedly decrease carbon intensity, paving the way for sustainability.

The livestock sector represents major challenges to safeguarding environmental integrity. This study comprehensively analyzes ten environmental footprints of the livestock sector from 1995 to 2022, with projections until 2030, and juxtaposes them with the planetary boundaries. We quantify greenhouse gas emissions, land use, water use, particulate matter formation, and biochemical flows associated with the livestock sector.
