Background: Platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) has been used to predict the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with inconsistent results. This meta-analysis aimed to clarify the prognostic value of PLR in patients with HCC.
Methods: We systematically retrieved relevant literature published in the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases up to November 20, 2021.
The importance of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) signaling in malignant behaviour of tumour cells is well established. Inhibiting the activity of IGF-1R may result in striking apoptosis in malignant cells growing. IGF-1R antibodies which are currently in phase I and II clinical trials and several IGF-IR TKIs have preclinically been characterized.

Objectives: To summarize the clinical features of liver injury in patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), providing information for further mechanism and clinical study.
Methods: The clinical and some laboratory data of 154 patients suffered from SARS were collected and analyzed, who were admitted to the isolation wards of Beijing You-an Hospital from March 11 to June 3, 2003. The serum samples were taken from 46 patients to detect IL-1beta, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-alpha, endotoxin and hepatitis related viral inclusions.
