The evaluation of the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has long been a "bottleneck" issue that restricts the healthy development and internationalization of TCM. This article systematically analyzes the differences in diagnostic and treatment principles, material composition, new drug development pathways, efficacy cognition, and evaluation methodology between Chinese and Western medicine from the underlying logic of medical perspective. On this basis, it integrates the evidence elements of clinical experience, experimental research, and clinical trials, and for the first time proposes and establishes a new strategy and methodology for the evaluation of the effectiveness of TCM: the integrated evidence chain-based effectiveness evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine(iEC-Eff), forming an integrated evaluation and confirmation model of "clinical experience-experimental research-clinical trial" for the effectiveness of TCM.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is one of the most important indications of severe clinical symptoms in patients with diquat poisoning and is closely related to poor prognosis. Photodynamic inactivation, as a safe and effective antimicrobial technology that does not damage the organoleptic properties of the food itself, decreases the use of preservatives and is gradually gaining attention in the food industry. This study selected octyl gallate (OG) as an antimicrobial photosensitizer with eucalyptus oil as the oil phase and prepared it as an octyl gallate nanoemulsion (OG-NE) to ensure the delivery of the photosensitizer. This study explores the effect of carbohydrate-binding module 1 (CBM1) and the linker on the function of auxiliary activity 9 (AA9) lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs), with a particular focus on monooxygenase activity, using different crystallinity celluloses and electron donors. The tested C1/C4-oxidizing AA9 LPMOs exhibited higher oxidase and peroxidase activities compared to those of the C4-oxidizing AA9 LPMOs. While the presence of CBM1 promoted cellulose-binding affinity, it reduced the oxidase activity of modular AA9 LPMOs.

Monomeric flavan-3-ols are important copigments in red wines, due to their superior copigmentation ability and high concentration. In this work, a systematic study was conducted on the copigmentation effects of eight common monomeric flavan-3-ols with malvidin-3-O-glucoside, using experimental and theoretical methods. The results revealed that the addition of a hydroxy group to the B ring and the attachment of a galloyl group at the 3-O position of monomeric flavan-3-ols both contributed to enhance copigmentation, with the latter exerting a more pronounced effect.
