The monitoring of phytoestrogen levels in food is essential for ensuring food safety; however, the low concentrations and complex matrices pose significant technical challenges. In this study, covalent triazine based organic polymers (TCOPs) was innovatively synthesized in situ on the surface of a steel substrate (TCOPs-S). These novel TCOPs-S were utilized as adsorbents for solid-phase microextraction and ionization sources in ambient mass spectrometry, enabling the rapid detection of phytoestrogens.

Among them, ten compounds (1-10) including three likely extracting artefacts (8-10) were described for the first time. Their structures were fully characterized by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, with the absolute configurations established via electronic circular dichroism and Mosher's NMR techniques.

Its therapeutic benefits are primarily attributed to the improved blood circulation achieved through sequential mechanical compression of the lower extremities. However, despite the crucial role that hemodynamic effects in the lower extremity arteries play in determining the effectiveness of EECP treatment, most studies have focused on the diastole phase and ignored the systolic phase.

This adsorbent was synthesized through atom economic polymerization of tetrakis(4-aminophenyl) methane and 1,4-phenylene diisocyanate, which was successfully verified by a series of techniques. Major parameters influencing MSPE efficiency were optimized.

A holistic strategy for discovering structural analogs was established using characteristic structural fragments filtering by high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry and successfully employed for discovering potential hazards in meat. The mass spectrometry fragmentation mechanisms of 113 compounds (including sulphonamides, tetracyclines, benzimidazoles, steroid hormones, cephalosporins, β-blockers) were investigated and a new strategy for screening of characteristic fragment ions was proposed. To process the data acquired by two scan modes, firstly an integrated filtering strategy was conducted to facilitate the characterisation of multi-class drugs.

Screening for commensal bacteria in the nasal cavity may aid in understanding their roles in microbiota balance and preventing potential infections.
Methods: Nasal samples were collected from healthy preclinical medical students and used to inoculate various bacterial culture media, by means of the WaspLab microbiology automated system.
Meat quality is closely related to the fat deposition which is regulated by a cascade of transcription factors. As a transcription factor, the CCAAT/enhancer binding protein alpha (CEBPA) is considered as one of the key molecules regulating adipogenesis. Therefore, the objective of this study was to detect the expression pattern of the gene and evaluate whether its single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were associated with the meat quality traits in Wuliang Mountain Black-bone (WLMB) chickens.

Methods: The study encompassed 77 Chinese hospitals over 3 years.
Background: The distant metastasis of cancer cells is a risk factor for tumor lethality and poor prognosis in non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). Increased SOX9 expression has been associated with clinical stage and poor prognosis in NSCLC, but the molecular mechanisms by which SOX9 promotes metastasis in NSCLC are still unknown.
Methods: The relationship between SOX9 expression and T, N, M classification was assessed using the χ test and Spearman's analysis in 142 immunohistochemically diagnosed specimens of NSCLC.
Migration of metal clips into the duodenum after laparoscopic cholecystectomy is rare. We herein present two cases of migration of metal clips into the duodenum in patients who developed upper quadrant discomfort and a poor appetite after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Gastroscopy revealed metal clips in the duodenum.

The cell internalization, cell cycle distribution and DNA ladder experiments were performed to study the synergistic mechanisms. A549 xenograft was established in nude mice and adopted to study the in vivo anti-tumor effect of doxorubicin and axitinib.

This study was based on the thiol groups (-SH) of PC2~PC6, which could be reacted with the Monobromobimane (mBBr), in order to get polypeptide derivatives with fluorescent signal. A new method was developed for measuring the Polypeptides by high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detector, then the chromatographic conditions of HPLC was optimized; meawhile the reaction proportion of PCs and mBBr was identified by Trap-MS. The results showed that, the reaction proportion of PCs and mBBr was 1:1, the polypeptide derivatives had good stability; the five compounds separation was better, and the peak time focused on the 16.

Objective: To investigate the resistance profiles and the trend of bloodstream-infecting pathogens isolated from hospitalized patients during 2004-2010.
Methods: The bloodstream isolates were collected from 18 hospitals in 17 cities. Minimum inhibition concentrations (MIC) were determined using the agar dilution method recommended by CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute), and susceptibility results were analyzed according to the 2011 CLSI guideline.

Methods: Bacteria were cultured and identified by BACTEC9120 and VITEK II automicrobic system. E-test was used to detect the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antimicrobial agents in the drug susceptivity experiment.
Objective: To explore the antimicrobial resistance of nosocomial Gram-negative bacilli across China.
Methods: A total of 1247 consecutive and non-repetitive Gram-negative bacilli were isolated from 13 Chinese teaching hospitals from March to August 2012. All isolates were sent to a central laboratory for reidentification and susceptibility testing.
It has been reported that Annexin A2 (ANXA2) is up-regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but the roles of ANXA2 in the migration and invasion of HCC cells have not been determined. In this study, we found that ANXA2-specific siRNA (si-ANXA2) significantly inhibited the migration and invasion of HCC cells co-cultured with fibroblasts in vitro. In addition, the production of MMP-2 by fibroblasts cultured in supernatant collected from si-ANXA2-transfected HCC cells was notably down-regulated.
