Objective: Some cells in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) cartilage undergo proliferation in response to negative pressure, which can be induced in vivo by creating bilateral anterior elevation (BAE). TMJ cartilage harbours CD90-expressing cells, and CD90 expression increases under certain controlled conditions. The parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP) nuclear localization segment (NLS) promotes chondrocyte proliferation, and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signalling plays a regulatory role in promoting PTHrP transcription.

1D flexible fibers assembled 3D porous networked ceramic fiber aerogels (CFAs) are developed to overcome the brittleness of traditional ceramic particle aerogels. However, existing CFAs with disordered and quasi-ordered structures fail to balance the relationship between flexibility, robustness, and thermal insulation. Creating novel architectural CFAs with an excellent combination of performances has proven extremely challenging.

Cocaine is one of the most abused illicit drugs, and its abuse damages the central nervous system and can even lead directly to death. Therefore, the development of simple, rapid and highly sensitive detection methods is crucial for the prevention and control of drug abuse, traffic accidents and crime. In this work, an electrochemical aptamer-based (EAB) sensor based on the low-temperature enhancement effect was developed for the direct determination of cocaine in bio-samples.

The aim of infrared and visible image fusion is to generate a fused image that not only contains salient targets and rich texture details, but also facilitates high-level vision tasks. However, due to the hardware limitations of digital cameras and other devices, there are more low-resolution images in the existing datasets, and low-resolution images are often accompanied by the problem of losing details and structural information. At the same time, existing fusion algorithms focus too much on the visual quality of the fused images, while ignoring the requirements of high-level vision tasks.

Viscosity is a typical physical parameter and plays an important role in nutrient transferring, diffusion process regulating and safety warning. Aberrant mitochondrial viscosity is closely associated with an imbalance in a liquid system. Nevertheless, there is currently a lack of convenient and efficient tools for the mutation of viscosity detection at the molecular level.

Liquids, functioning as nutrients and energy systems, regulate various functions during storage programs. Microenvironmental viscosity is one of the most important physical parameters associated with the extent of deterioration, and it is crucial to monitor the mutation of viscosity at a molecular level. Herein, we utilized caffeic acid (CaC), a natural product extracted from thistles, as a molecular probe for viscosity sensing.

Liquid safety is considered a serious public health problem; a convenient and effective viscosity determination method has been regarded as one of the powerful means to detect liquid safety. Herein, one kind of triphenylamine-modified cinnamaldehyde-based fluorescent sensor (3-(4'-(diphenylamino)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl)acrylaldehyde (DPABA)) has been developed for sensing viscosity fluctuations in a liquid system, where a cinnamaldehyde derivative was extracted from one kind of natural plant cinnamon and acted as an acceptor, which has been combined with a triphenylamine derivate via the Suzuki coupling reaction within one facile step. Twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) was observed, and the rotation could be restricted in the high-viscosity microenvironment; thus, the fluorescent signal was released at 548 nm.
