In this study, a novel algorithm named the Edge-enhanced Generative Adversarial Network (EGAN) is proposed to address the issues of noise corruption and edge fuzziness in the super-resolution of remote sensing images. To build upon the baseline model called Deep Blind Super-Resolution GAN (DBSR-GAN), an edge enhancement module is introduced to enhance the edge information of the images. To enlarge the receptive field of the algorithm, the Mask branch within the edge enhancement structure is further optimized.

Hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) are major regulators of adaptive responses to hypoxia. As transcription factors, HIFs are involved in the regulation of erythropoiesis, iron metabolism, angiogenesis, energy metabolism, and cell survival by promoting the transcriptional expression of hundreds of target genes.

Despite intensive postoperative interventions, the prognosis for SMARCB1-deficient medullary RCC remains poor, indicating insufficiency in current therapy. Herein, we reported the treatment outcomes of five patients with metastatic SMARCB1-deficient medullary RCC and molecular correlates.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included data from 382 participants with SCI. The SII was calculated for all participants.
Urban Water Ecological Carrying Capacity (UWECC) is an important dimension for measuring the health of urban water ecosystems and is crucial for promoting the coordination between economic and social development and ecological protection. This study introduces a novel UWECC assessment method by coupling criterion layers with driving indicators and is the first to examine the impact of COVID-19 on UWECC. Taking the 16 prefecture-level cities in Hubei Province, China, as an example, first a comprehensive evaluation index system for UWECC was constructed based on the DPSIR framework.

A novel CF/PEEK honeycomb reinforcement with a zero Poisson ratio was fabricated by using 3D-printing technology. Then, TPU was bonded in the two sides of the CF/PEEK honeycomb reinforcement.

Currently, the limitation of clinical repair for cartilage defects is that it is difficult to form pure hyaline cartilage repair, and the source of cartilage tissue and cells is limited. To obtain high-purity regenerated hyaline cartilage, we proposed to construct an injectable hydrogel precursor by using human living hyaline cartilage graft (hLhCG) secreted by human chondrocytes as the dispersed phase and fibrinogen solution as the continuous phase, by double injection with thrombin, three-dimensional network hydrogel structure was formed under the action of thrombin to repair joint defects.

Here, we prepared tissue-engineered decellularized live hyaline cartilage grafts (dLHCG), this dLHCG scaffold's bioactive ECM mainly consists of collagen II, proteoglycans, and fibronectin, presenting a cartilage-like lacuna microstructure. The dLHCG scaffold loaded human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs) and adipose stem cells (ADSCs) were implanted into the interface.

Herein, employing constant-potential grand canonical density functional theory calculations, we elucidate the reaction kinetics of the HER on MXenes with various surface terminations by taking experimentally reported MoC as a prototype. We observe a contradictory scenario on MoC MXene when using conventional thermodynamic descriptor Δ (hydrogen binding energy).

White matter (WM) abnormalities are an emerging feature of schizophrenia, yet the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are largely unknown. Disruption of ErbB signaling, which is essential for peripheral myelination, has been genetically associated with schizophrenia and WM lesions in schizophrenic patients. However, the roles of ErbB signaling in oligodendrocytes remain elusive.

Methods: A retrospective study of 925 patients who underwent prostate biopsies to detect IDC-P was conducted, with participants divided into two cohorts. The first cohort of 165 mHSPC patients receiving abiraterone treatment was analyzed to compare therapeutic effectiveness between IDC-P positive and negative cases.

Background: Synchronous occurrence of prostate cancer (PCa) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is uncommon. RCC has a higher tendency to metastasize to the adrenal glands, renal hilar, and retroperitoneal lymph nodes compared to PCa. To date, there are no documented cases existing where metastatic tumors in these regions, observed in patients concurrently with PCa and RCC, have originated from the PCa rather than the RCC.

Increasing research aims to improve depression through gut microbiota regulation, including interventions such as probiotics, prebiotics, and fecal microbiota transplants. However, most research focuses on exogenous depression induced by chronic stress or drugs, with less attention given to endogenous depression.

Argonaute (Ago) proteins are programmable nucleases found in all domains of life, playing a crucial role in biological processes like DNA/RNA interference and gene regulation. Mesophilic prokaryotic Agos (pAgos) have gained increasing research interest due to their broad range of potential applications, yet their molecular mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, we present seven cryo-electron microscopy structures of Kurthia massiliensis Ago (KmAgo) in various states.

Among various schemes, passive mode-locking in ultrashort-cavity fiber laser is promising for generating GHz ultrashort pulses (typically solitons), for its simplicity and robustness. However, its pulse energy is far lower than the critical value of the existing theory, leading to open questions on the mode-locking mechanism of GHz fiber lasers.

This study utilized the GBM cell membrane to construct a biomimetic targeted nanosystem (GMNPs@AMD/RAPA) that hierarchically releases the CXCR4 antagonist AMD3100 and the mTOR pathway inhibitor rapamycin (RAPA) for reprogramming the tumor immune microenvironment and suppressing the progression of GBM. By initially inhibiting the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis, the tumor microenvironment (TME) was reprogrammed to enhance the infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) into the TME while suppressing tumor cell survival, proliferation, and angiogenesis.
