The key object tracking in sports video scenarios poses a pivotal challenge in the analysis of sports techniques and tactics. In table tennis, due to the small size and rapid motion of the ball, identifying and tracking the table tennis ball through video is a particularly arduous task, where the majority of existing detection and tracking algorithms struggle to meet the practical application requirements in real-world scenarios. To address this issue, this paper proposes a combined technical approach integrating detection and discrimination, tailored to the unique motion characteristics of table tennis.

While creating 2D superlattices by means of nanopatterned electric gates has been studied for band structure engineering in recent years, evidence of electron correlations─which drive many problems at the forefront of physics research─remains to be uncovered. In this work, we demonstrate signatures of a correlated insulator phase in Bernal-stacked bilayer graphene modulated by a gate-defined superlattice potential, manifested as resistance peaks centered at integer multiples of single electron per superlattice unit cell carrier densities.

A significant factor contributing to the development of fibrosis is insufficient autophagy, which leads to increased fibroblast proliferation and collagen deposition. However, treatments aimed at upregulating autophagy often cause further lung pathology due to the disruption of epithelial cell balance.

Using time-resolved momentum microscopy with high data rate and high dynamic range, we report momentum-space measurements of electrons promoted to the graphene conduction band with visible light and their subsequent relaxation. We observe a pronounced nonthermal distribution of nascent photoexcited electrons with lattice pseudospin polarization in remarkable agreement with results of simple tight-binding theory.

Objective: The intention of this research was to verify the hypothesis that electroacupuncture (EA) exerted an anti-ferroptosis effect via an increase in the expression of xCT and activation of the System Xc/GSH/GPX4 axis in cortical neurons of TBI rats.

Two-dimensional electron systems subject to strong magnetic fields are expected to exhibit quantized Hall conductivity, chiral edge currents and distinctive collective modes referred to as magnetoplasmons and magnetoexcitons. Generating these propagating collective modes in charge-neutral samples and imaging them at their native nanometre length scales have thus far been experimentally elusive.

Based on a composited Newton-Cotes formula, this paper proposes a numerical method to predict milling stability considering regenerative chatter and focusing on rate and prediction accuracy. First, the dynamic model of milling motion is expressed as state-space equations considering regenerative chatter, with the tooth passing period divided into a set of time intervals. Second, a composited Newton-Cotes formula is introduced to calculate the transition function map for each time interval.

In this study, we present a novel approach for measuring the transient response of single cells using a system integrated with a microfluidic chip and a probe with a dual pump. The system was composed of a probe with a dual pump system, a microfluidic chip, optical tweezers, an external manipulator, an external piezo actuator, etc.

As one of China's major citrus planting bases, Sichuan has a citrus planting area that exceeds 400,000 hectares. Meanwhile, citrus cultivation has become one of the important agricultural pillar industries in the region.

Identifying factors that influence readiness for discharge is crucial for developing effective nursing interventions. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the current status of discharge readiness and its influencing factors in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

We focus on two regimes: (i) topological flat bands with nonzero Chern numbers, C, including bands with higher Chern numbers |C|>1 and (ii) an unprecedented phase consisting of a stack of nearly perfect flat bands with C=0. For realistic values of the potential and superlattice periodicity, this stack can span nearly 100 meV, encompassing nearly all of the low-energy spectrum.

The development of visual aesthetic sensitivity across ages and genders, and the effect of artistic training on students' visual aesthetic sensitivity were examined. The data of primary school and junior middle school students were collected by paper tests completed collectively in class, while the data of university students were collected by distributing and collecting online.

We observe strong intravalley coupling between the B_{1s} exciton and A_{n>1} states. Our measurements indicate that the dominant valley depolarization mechanism conserves the exciton binding energy and momentum.

A single-mode array-based sensing approach is simple and sensitive, but it usually relies on the use of multiple cross-reactive receptors to construct sensor arrays, which is cumbersome and insufficiently accurate. Here, we developed a sensor array with colorimetric and photothermal dual mode of differentiating multiple pathogenic bacteria.

The present study aimed to investigate how many stories about struggling role models undergraduates with a low level of perseverance need to read to effectively improve their perseverance after experiencing failure. Undergraduates with high and low levels of perseverance who had experienced failure were randomly assigned to read 5 struggle stories or 5 achievement stories of role models.

Controlling the manipulator is a big challenge due to its hysteresis, deadzone, saturation, and the disturbances of actuators. This study proposes a hybrid state/disturbance observer-based multiple-constraint control mechanism to address this difficulty. It first proposes a hybrid state/disturbance observer to simultaneously estimate the unmeasurable states and external disturbances.

Methods: Male SD rats were randomly divided into control (=10), sham (=30), model (=30) and EA (=30) groups, the latter three groups were further divided into 3, 7, 14 d subgroups (=10). TBI model was established by using a free fall brain injury striking device after exposing the local cranial bone (to induce the left parietal cerebral contusion).
