Building 2D/3D heterojunction is a promising approach to passivate surface defects and improve the stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Developing effective methods to build high-quality 2D/3D heterojunction is in demand. The formation of 2D/3D heterojunction involves both the diffusion of 2D spacer molecules and phase transition from 3D to 2D structure.

Although widely used, they have been linked to infertility and birth defects in animals, and have been shown to increase proinflammatory cytokines, decrease mitochondrial function, and disrupt sterol biosynthetic pathways in a dose-dependent manner in humans. This study examined if there was an increased use of QAC-based disinfectants among healthcare settings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to bring to light the negative health outcomes that this rise in QAC exposure may pose.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a major cause of global cancer mortality with high levels of heterogeneity. To explore geospatial interactions in tumor ecosystems, we integrated 2,138 spatial transcriptomic regions-of-interest (ROIs) with 152,423 single-cell expression profiles across 226 GC samples from 121 patients. We observed pervasive expression-based intratumor heterogeneity, recapitulating tumor progression through spatially localized and functionally ordered subgroups associated with specific immune microenvironments, checkpoint profiles, and genetic drivers such as SOX9.

This study aimed to enhance molecular marker-assisted selection for high-protein soybean varieties by developing Kompetitive Allele-Specific Polymerase Chain Reaction (KASP) markers targeted at loci associated with seed protein content. Nineteen markers with high genotyping efficacy were identified through screening.

The fresh aroma of Longjing tea is vulnerable to unfavorable storage conditions. However, limited research has addressed effective solutions apart from low-temperature storage. This study aimed to investigate the impact of oxygen scavenger on aroma quality of packaged Longjing tea samples at elevated storage temperatures.

Existing lesion demarcations do not always meet the needs of clinical practice. This study aimed to explore the safety and efficacy of near-infrared fluorescence imaging with nebulized inhalation of indocyanine green for thoracoscopic anatomical lesion resection in children with congenital lung malformation.

In this work, we use the all-metal icosahedral M@Au as a building block to assemble a series of bi-, tri-, tetra-, and penta-superatomic molecules with diverse superatomic bonding patterns via face-fusion, aiming to systemically explore the bonding rule of superatoms. Chemical bonding analyses indicate that these bi-, tri-, tetra-, and penta-superatomic molecules [M@Au] (M = Re, W, Ta, Ti, Hf, Ir, and Pt) can be considered electronic analogues to Cl, O, N, CO, O, CO, NCl, and CF molecules with single, double, triple, and multicenter bonds, respectively.

So far, the main research is still focused on the growth, density, size, and activity enhancement of exsolved nanoparticles (NPs). However, the lack of precise regulation of the type and composition of NPs elements under reduction conditions has restricted the architectural development of in situ exsolution systems.

Previous research has shown that the SAM pointed domain containing Ets transformation-specific transcription factor (SPDEF) can activate NR4A1, but its mechanism of action in renal fibrosis is not yet clear. In this study, we used adenovirus to create a mouse kidney model with a specific knockdown of NR4A1 gene.

Background: Several studies have indicated that the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) can prolong the survival of patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC). However, it remains unclear whether the presence of liver metastasis leads to systemic immune suppression, resulting in poorer immune therapy outcomes. This study aims to investigate whether liver metastasis affects the efficacy of ICI in first-line treatment for AGC patients.

Methods: This was a retrospective study, including patients from Poseidon Group 1 (N = 672) and Group 2 (N = 503) who underwent cleavage-stage embryo transfer. Logistic regression was used for the comparative analysis of clinical outcomes among subgroups divided by the number and quality of embryos.
Results: For Group 1, compared to transferring a single good-quality embryo (GQE), a good-quality embryo with a poor-quality embryo (GQE + PQE) did not significantly improve the live birth rate, although increasing in value (40.
Influenza polymerase (FluPol) carries out both viral transcription and replication using the same viral genome segment as a template to yield distinct end products. However, it remains largely unclear how FluPol synthesizes transcripts containing poly (A) tails during transcription termination, while producing fully complementary products during replication termination. In this study, through structural analysis combined with cell-based and biochemical assays, we identified that the PB1 Leu675/Asn676 and PB2 Arg38 residues of FluPol are critical for transcription termination and polyadenylation.
