Recent studies have reported that electroacupuncture (EA) can treat osteoporosis, but most of which were based on the "kidney governing bones" theory. However, the ancient Chinese medical textbook pointed out that "Gallbladder Meridian of Foot Shaoyang" correlates with bone diseases, including osteoporosis, although the therapeutic regimens were lost after the Tang Dynasty. Here, we explored whether EA at GB points improves osteoporosis and its underlying mechanism.

Methods: We enrolled 30 PD patients exhibiting tremor dominance (TD), 43 PD patients with postural instability and gait disturbance (PIGD), and 42 HCs. The occipital gyrus was partitioned into six areas of interest, as seed points, via the Anatomical Automatic Labeling template to compare the FC of the three groups and analyze the relationship of FC with clinical scales.
Light-induced de-etiolation is an important aspect of seedling photomorphogenesis. GOLDEN2 LIKE (GLK) transcriptional regulators are involved in chloroplast development, but to what extent they participate in photomorphogenesis is not clear. Here, we show that ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5) binds to GLK promoters to activate their expression, and also interacts with GLK proteins in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana).

To investigate the role of NADH dehydrogenase-like complex (NDH) mediated cyclic electron flow (CEF) contributing to heat acclimation, wild type (WT) tobacco () and its NDH-B or NDH-C, J, K subunits deficient mutants ( or ) were grown at 25/20°C before being shifted to a moderate heat stress environment (35/30°C). The photosynthetic performance of WT and mutants could all eventually acclimate to the increased temperature, but the acclimation process of mutants took longer.
