Objective: This study was to investigate the role of serum Klotho, fetuin-A, and Matrix Gla Protein (MGP) in Coronary Artery Calcification (CAC) in patients with Maintenance Hemodialysis (MHD) and their predictive value for CAC.
Methods: 100 patients receiving MHD were selected. Serum Klotho, fetuin-A, and MGP levels were detected by ELISA.
Thermophilic semi-continuous composting (TSC) is effective for kitchen waste (KW) treatment, but large amounts of NH-rich odorous gas are generated. This study proposes a TSC-biofiltration (BF) two-stage process. Compost from the front-end TSC was used as the packing material in the BF to remove NH from the exhaust gas.

- The TSC showed impressive efficiencies with 80.88% organic matter degradation and a seed germination index (GI) of 78.51%, stabilized by a daily feeding ratio of 10%.
- Following a seven-day SS, the compost quality improved significantly, raising the GI to 91.58%, and notable shifts in bacterial communities were observed between TSC and SS phases.
