Migraine, marked by moderate to severe headaches, is frequently accompanied by reversible neurological symptoms. Recent studies have revealed a complex and significant relationship between psychological factors and the onset and progression of migraine. Personality traits, such as neuroticism and harm avoidance, play a crucial role in the development, progression, and treatment outcomes of migraines.

To date, it remains elusive how excretory-secretory products (ESPs) of Giardia enter IECs and how the cells respond to the entry. Herein, we initially demonstrated that ESPs evoked IEC endocytosis in vitro.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLung cancer is the most frequent cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Exosomes are involved in different types of cancer, including lung cancer. We collected saliva from patients with (LC) or without (NC) lung cancer and successfully isolated salivary exosomes by ultracentrifugation.

Methods: Migraine patients were screened from the Headache Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from September 2019 to December 2021 and randomly classified into an outpatient group and four telemedicine groups: social software, telephone, E-mail, and short message. Headache specialists followed up with the patients 3 and 6 months after their visit and asked about their satisfaction with the follow-up in each instance, as were the headache specialists.
, a cosmopolitan noninvasive protozoan parasite of zoonotic concern and public health importance, infects the upper portions of the small intestine and causes one of the most common gastrointestinal diseases globally termed giardiasis, especially in situations lacking safe drinking water and adequate sanitation services. The pathogenesis of giardiasis is complex and involves multiple factors from the interaction of and intestinal epithelial cells (IECs). Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved catabolic pathway that involves multiple pathological conditions including infection.

Investigation of immune cell infiltration (ICI) and the hub gene will facilitate the identification of specific biomarkers. : Key modules of ICI and immune cell-associated differential genes, as well as ICI profiles, were identified using lung cancer microarray data from the single sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA) and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) in the gene expression omnibus (GEO) database.

Few members of the heat shock protein (HSP) family have been shown to function as potential defenders against microbial pathogens, while such information is lacking for . Here we initially screened and indicated that challenge induced a marked early upregulation of HSP70 in intestinal epithelial cells (IECs).

This study aimed to discuss the value of the immunocyte count combined with computed tomography (CT) features in distinguishing pulmonary tuberculoma from malignancy among non-calcified solid SPNs.
Methods: Forty-eight patients with pulmonary tuberculoma and 52 patients with lung cancer were retrospectively included in our study.
Lung cancer poses great threat to human health, and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the main subtype. Immunotherapy has become first line therapy for LUAD. However, the pathogenic mechanism of LUAD is still unclear.

This study aims to analyze the role of histone modifications and the prognostic values of histone modifications in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). The promoters and enhancers of protein encoding genes (PCGs) were the regions of enriched histone modifications.

Giardia infection may persist over extended periods with intestinal inflammation, although minimal. Cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 is well known as an important inducer of inflammatory response, while the role it played in noninvasive Giardia infection remains elusive.
