To analyze the alterations in the fecal microbiota of older adults with autoimmune disease and determine the diagnostic capabilities of microbial biomarkers. The raw data of fecal samples from 444 older adults from the publicly available American Gut Project database was analyzed. It was found that there were no significant differences in the microbiota richness and evenness between older adults with autoimmune disease and healthy controls.

Circadian rhythm describes the 24-h oscillation in physiology and behavior of living organisms and presents a timing controller for life activity.
