Background: Biological age serves as a common starting point for various age-related diseases and can be associated with a wide range of cardiovascular outcomes. However, associations between cardiovascular biological age (CBA) and various types of cardiovascular disease (CVD) remain unclear.
Methods And Results: Analyzing 262,343 UK Biobank participants, we constructed CBA based on composite biomarkers using the Klemera-Doubal method (denoted as KDM-CBA).
Background: Biological aging exhibits heterogeneity across multi-organ systems. However, it remains unclear how is lifestyle associated with overall and organ-specific aging and which factors contribute most in Southwest China.
Methods: This study involved 8396 participants who completed two surveys from the China Multi-Ethnic Cohort (CMEC) study.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid-enclosed nanovesicles secreted by diverse cell types that orchestrate intercellular communication through cargo delivery. Their pivotal roles span from supporting the development of normal central nervous system (CNS) to contributing to the pathogenesis of neurological diseases.
