Considering the facts of fossil fuel depletion and environmental issues, the conversion of biomass into high value-added chemicals is of great importance. In this work, Ni and Co were encapsulated in lignin-derived phenolic resin spheres to obtain NiCo@LRS, which was then employed as a sacrificial template for the synthesis of the bimetallic catalyst NiCo@LC-RS. The Ni and Co act as the acid and dehydrogenation sites for the catalytic transfer hydrogenolysis of 2-phenoxy-1-phenylethanol (pp-ol) and corncob lignin, respectively, and exhibit a synergistic enhancement effect.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) presents a substantial clinical challenge due to the limited understanding of its genetic underpinnings. Here we conduct the largest scale whole-exome sequencing association study of NPC to date, encompassing 6,969 NPC cases and 7,100 controls. This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of Xuanhong Dingchuan Tang (XHDCT) in delaying bronchial asthma inflammation via the microRNA (miR)-107-3p/prostaglandin endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2)/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) axis. Based on the network pharmacological analysis, XHDCT chemical constituents and targets of each chemical constituent were screened through the TCMSP database, and differential-expressed genes of bronchial asthma were obtained from the GEO database, which were intersected to get XHDCT potential anti-inflammatory targets. We experimentally demonstrate the tuning of accidental bound states in the continuum (A-BICs) in silicon nanodisk arrays. The A-BIC emerges of the destructive interference of multipoles, which are the dominating out-of-plane electric dipole and in-plane magnetic dipole, and weak electric quadrupole and magnetic quadrupole. We further show that the spectral and angular position of the A-BIC can be conveniently tuned by varying the nanodisk size or the lattice period.
