Solid electrolytes (SEs) are crucial for advancing next-generation rechargeable battery technologies, but their commercial viability is partially limited by expensive precursors, unscalable synthesis, or low ionic conductivity. Lithium tetrahaloaluminates offer an economical option but exhibit low Li conductivities with high activation energy barriers. This study reports the synthesis of lithium aluminum chalcohalide (LiAlClS) using inexpensive precursors one-step mechanochemical milling.

Methods: We retrospectively collected clinical data from 154 patients who received at least two cycles of PD-1 inhibitors in combination with a taxane-based chemotherapy as first-line treatment in seven hospitals in Hunan Province, between December 2018 and December 2023. These patients were subjected to long-term follow-up.
Background: Notch signaling, a conserved mechanism of cell-to-cell communication, plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as proliferation and differentiation in a context-dependent manner. However, the specific contribution of Notch signaling to the progression of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) remains unclear.
Methods: We investigated the changes in Notch signaling activity (Notch1-4) in the kidneys of autosomal dominant PKD (ADPKD) patients and two ADPKD mouse models (early and late onset).
Background: Previous reports have indicated an association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and cardiovascular disease. However, few relevant studies exist on the relationship between RDW and aortic valve calcification (AVC). Explore the correlation and predictive value of RDW concerning the occurrence and severity of aortic valve calcification.

However, the role of the transcription factor KLF2 in cardiomyocyte biology remains largely unexplored.
Methods And Results: We employed transverse aortic constriction surgery in male C57BL/6 J mice to develop an in vivo model of cardiac hypertrophy, and generated different in vitro cardiac hypertrophy models in neonatal rat ventricular myocytes and human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes.
Fructose-1,6-diphosphate (FBP), a key glycolytic metabolite, is recognized for its cytoprotective effects during stress. However, the role of FBP in viral infections is unknown. Here, we demonstrate that virus-infected cells exhibit elevated FBP levels.

To address these challenges, we compared heterologous promoters, terminators and intercistronic expression elements (IEEs). We transformed Chlamydomonas chloroplast with a biolistic approach to introduce vectors containing the NanoLuc expression unit regulated by Chlamydomonas or tobacco promoters and terminators.

Background: Sepsis causes substantial morbidity and mortality and constitutes a major public health problem. In patients with sepsis, immunosuppression is associated with poor prognosis, and immune monitoring during the early stages has prognostic value. This study aims to explore immunologic parameters associated with sepsis prognosis, potentially identifying patients who may benefit from immunotherapy, improving intensive care survival.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) following sepsis is a life-threatening condition that portends higher mortality. β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide (β-NMN), a crucial nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) precursor, exhibits the potential to against sepsis. We aimed to elucidate the effect of β-NMN on septic AKI.

To realize high-precision multifrequency electrical impedance information acquisition, a high-precision MFEIT system with undersampling combined with a fast digital demodulation algorithm is proposed. The system is integrated with 16 electrodes, and semi-parallel acquisition is used.

Methods: Retrieve relevant research on gouty arthritis pain in the Web of Science core collection database, screen literature, and use visualization software such as CiteSpace, Vosviewers, and R package "Bibliometrix" for analysis.
Background: Sarcopenia is closely linked to inflammation; however, the association between the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and mortality in patients with sarcopenia remains unclear. This study aims to explore the relationship between SIRI and mortality in sarcopenia patients.
Methods: We analyzed data from ten cycles of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 1999 to 2018, selecting 3,141 sarcopenia patients.
Rechargeable solid-state sodium metal batteries (SSMBs) experience growing attention owing to the increased energy density (vs Na-ion batteries) and cost-effective materials. Inorganic sulfide-based Na-ion conductors also possess significant potential as promising solid electrolytes (SEs) in SSMBs. Nevertheless, due to the highly reactive Na metal, poor interface compatibility is the biggest obstacle for inorganic sulfide solid electrolytes such as NaSbS to achieve high performance in SSMBs.

Background: Miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) has emerged as a noteworthy non-surgical method for treating maxillary transverse deficiency, especially in young adult patients. Studies have shown that MARPE can achieve significant dentoalveolar and skeletal expansion with long-term stability. The primary objective of this study was to assess the skeletal changes in the maxillary transverse dimension, and the secondary objective was to evaluate the dentoalveolar changes, following the use of a commercially available maxillary skeletal expander (MSE) in comparison to a custom-fabricated MARPE.

The occurrence of adhesive failure under impact poses significant risks, including property damage, structural collapse, and even loss of life. Herein, we have developed a series of impact-resistant adhesives by incorporating dynamic B-O linkages into linear polymeric chains. These adhesives not only possess broad-area adhesion and superior adhesive strength compared to 3 M commercial products but also exhibit a shear-stiffening effect.
