This review systematically examines the advancements in halide perovskite lasers, covering diverse laser architectures, such as whispering gallery mode, Fabry-Pérot, plasmonic, bound states in the continuum (BIC), quantum dot, and polariton lasers. The mechanisms of optical gain, the role of material engineering in optimizing lasing performance, and the challenges associated with continuous-wave (CW) pumping and electrically driven lasing are discussed.

However, a systematic analysis of gasdermin family members (GSDMs, including GSDMA/B/C/D/E and PJVK), which are deterministic executors of pyroptosis, has not yet been reported in HNSC.
Methods: We performed comprehensive analyses of the expression profile, prognostic value, regulatory network, and immune infiltration modulation of GSDMs in HNSC on the basis of a computational approach and bioinformatic analysis of publicly available datasets.

This review compiles information from the literature on the chemical composition, pharmacological effects, and molecular mechanisms of earthworm extract (EE) and suggests possibilities for clinical translation of EE. We also consider future trends and concerns in this domain. We summarize the bioactive components of EE, including G-90, lysenin, lumbrokinase, antimicrobial peptides, earthworm serine protease (ESP), and polyphenols, and detail the antitumor, antithrombotic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, wound-healing, antifibrotic, and hypoglycemic activities and mechanisms of action of EE based on existing in vitro and in vivo studies.

Methods: The 239 eyes of DR patients and 100 eyes of healthy individuals were recruited for the study. The severity of DR patients was graded as mild, moderate and severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) according to the international clinical diabetic retinopathy (ICDR) disease severity scale classification, and retinal vascular morphology was quantitatively analyzed in ultra-wide field images using RU-net and transfer learning methods.

Methods: We applied an individual-level time-stratified case-crossover study, which including 126,112 outpatient visits for ADs during 2019-2021 in Guangdong province, China, to investigate the association of short-term exposure to PM and O with outpatient visits for ADs, and estimate excess outpatient visits in South China. Daily residential air pollutant exposure assessments were performed by extracting grid data (spatial resolution: 1 km × 1 km) from validated datasets.

Notably, the emergence of innovative therapeutic agents and regimens holds promise for durable responses and improved survival for patients with R/R PTCL. We summarize recent advances in the treatment of R/R PTCL from the 2023 ASH Annual Meeting, highlighting novel agents targeting EZH1/2, JAK1, PI3K, KIR3DL2, CD38/CD3xCD28, or CDK9, as well as therapeutic regimens in combination with stem cell transplantation, immunomodulators, epigenetic modifying agents, or CD30/CD16A bispecific antibodies.
