Aims: Multiple myeloma (MM) remains a challenging condition to cure, with persistent drug resistance negating the benefits of treatment advancements. The unraveling complexities in programmed cell death (PCD), inclusive of apoptosis, autophagy, and ferroptosis, have highlighted novel therapeutic avenues. Our study focuses on deciphering how adapalene (ADA), a small molecule compound, accelerates the demise of MM cells via targeting their compensatory survival mechanisms.

African swine fever (ASF) is a disease that causes severe economic losses to the global porcine industry. As no vaccine or drug has been discovered for the prevention and control of ASF virus (ASFV), accurate diagnosis and timely eradication of infected animals are the primary measures, which necessitate accurate and effective detection methods. In this study, the truncated ASFV I329L (amino acids 70-237), was induced using IPTG and expressed in cells.

Interleukin 4 (IL-4) plays a major role in T-lymphocyte development and is thought to be a central regulator as a cofactor in resting B-lymphocyte proliferation. Primary infection with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) induces minimal IL-4 production, whereas an IL-4 response occurs in the peripheral blood of piglets reinfected by PRRSV. The locations and interaction partners for the massive volume of IL-4 triggered by PRRSV reinfection remain unclear.

TRPM8 channel plays central roles in the sensitization of nociceptive transduction and is thought as one of the potential targets for the treatment of neuropathic pain. However, the specific molecular mechanisms are still less clear. Sciatic chronic constriction injury (CCI) rats were intrathecally administered with AMTB (TRPM8-selective antagonist) or PDTC (nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) inhibitor).
