However, most studies did not address biases from imbalanced datasets or conduct external validations. To address these gaps, this study aimed to integrate the deep imbalanced regression (DIR) technique into ResNet and Vision Transformer models to predict refractive error from retinal photographs.

In this study, the mechanisms of low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate from hybrid sturgeon cartilage (LMSCS), prepared using the HO/Vc system, on the remission of osteoarthritis (OA) were investigated both in in vitro and in vivo. A Caco-2/SW1353 co-culture cell model and a monosodium iodoacetate (MIA)-induced OA mouse model were used to validate its inhibited apoptosis, anti-inflammatory effects, and intestinal flora modulation.

Background: Pneumothorax is a medical emergency caused by the abnormal accumulation of air in the pleural space-the potential space between the lungs and chest wall. On 2D chest radiographs, pneumothorax occurs within the thoracic cavity and outside of the mediastinum, and we refer to this area as "lung + space." While deep learning (DL) has increasingly been utilized to segment pneumothorax lesions in chest radiographs, many existing DL models employ an end-to-end approach.

The olfactory odor intensities of (E,E)-2,4-heptadienal and (E,Z)-2,6-nonadienal, which impart off-flavors, were reduced in the co-fermented oyster juice in comparison with the unfermented juice. Co-fermentation resulted in an increase of 5.

Luncheon pork, spiced beef, and red sausage were taken as representatives of typical deli meat products and used to validate the effectiveness of NIP-IV in inhibiting -nitroso dimethylamine (NDMA) production. The results showed that NIP-IV restrain protein degradation and lipid oxidation in deli meat products and effectively control microbial activity.

This paper aims to review the production, extraction, stability and food application of phycocyanin. Currently, light source modulation and organic solvent cultivation of high biomass phycocyanin is an important research direction. The development of nitrogen oxygen balanced system-assisted culture environments to raise production will become a trend, the green and sustainable characteristics of which compensate for the drawbacks of the former.

The hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interaction were the driving forces for OPH embedding. OPH-Loaded Zein/NaCas/Gum Arabic composite nanoparticles could self-assemble into spherical (191 nm) particles with strong stability, uniform distribution (about PDI = 0.

However, the performance of ViTs in referable diabetic retinopathy (DR) detection is relatively underexplored. In this study, using retinal photographs, we evaluated the comparative performances of ViTs and CNNs on detection of referable DR.

Research has found that after storage for 3-6 weeks, the physicochemical properties of caviar in the LVEF treatment group are better than those in the control group. The results of two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry showed that the contents of hexanal, nonanal, ()-2,6-nonadienal, ()-2-octenal and 1-octene-3-one related to the characteristic flavor of caviar (sweet, fruity and green) increased significantly.

Structural alterations of PLs were tracked using P and H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron spin resonance spectroscopy (ESR), and Raman spectroscopy. The findings revealed a reduction in phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) from 82.
