This paper explores the role of fluid management in the clinical care of AD patients, which has been unclear despite the substantial existing research that has been conducted on the treatment of AD.
Design: A retrospective case-control study using data for AD patients from public databases.
Infrared (IR) photodetectors play a crucial role in modern technologies due to their ability to operate in various environmental conditions. This study developed high-performance InSe/GaAs interdiffusion heterostructure photodetectors with broadband response using liquid-phase method. It is believed that an InGaAs layer and InSe have been formed at the interface through the mutual diffusion of elements, resulting in a detection spectral range spanning from 0.

The objective of this study was to investigate whether employing a porous medium model to simulate the compressed region of an iliac vein could improve the reliability and accuracy of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis outcomes of IVCS. Pre-operative Computed Tomography (CT) scan images of patients with IVCS were utilized to reconstruct models illustrating both the compression and collateral circulation of the iliac vein.

This study aimed to assess hemodynamic indicators associated with various anatomical morphologies following endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), aiming to offer further references for the choice of clinical therapy. Six model models (normal, iliac compression, aortic compression, aortoiliac compression, iliac distortion, and long-leg stent) were established based on common anatomical morphologies following EVAR.

Purpose: To evaluate whether endovascular therapy (ET) improved early symptom relief and decreased the incidence of moderate-to-severe postthrombotic syndrome (PTS) compared with anticoagulation alone in patients with subacute (15-28 days) iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Materials And Methods: Consecutive patients with subacute iliofemoral DVT from January 2020 to June 2022 were identified. A total of 86 patients were assigned to receive treatment with ET alongside anticoagulation (endovascular group, n = 49) or anticoagulation alone (anticoagulation group, n = 37).
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a chronic inflammation-driven disease characterized by aortic wall destruction and expansion, leading to high morbidity and mortality. However, previous drug treatments for its common risk factors have not achieved favorable results, and the early prevention and treatment is still the main clinical dilemma. Anti-inflammation therapy is a promising therapeutical method targeting its pathogenesis mechanism, but it has not been explored in depth.

However, achieving effective cellular engagement during nerve remodeling remains challenging. Herein, a novel composite nerve guidance conduit (NGC), the GelMA/PLys@PDA-Fe@PLCL conduit is developed by combining aligned poly(l-lactide-co-caprolactone) (PLCL) nanofibers modified with polydopamine (PDA), ferrous iron (Fe⁺), and polylysine (PLys) with aligned methacrylate-anhydride gelatin (GelMA) hydrogel nanofibers.

Current therapeutic strategies are limited, with surgical repair being the most effective intervention due to the lack of medications that can slow aneurysmal expansion or prevent adverse events. In this study, an innovative nanoplatform, Mn-UiO-66-NH@HA, designed to repair vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), and the extracellular matrix (ECM) is developed, thereby enhancing arterial wall integrity.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtherosclerosis is the main pathogenic factor of various cardiovascular diseases. During the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, macrophages play a major role, mainly by secreting pro-inflammatory cytokines and taking in lipids to form foam cells. Thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP) is an antagonist of the P2Y6 receptor, which is overexpressed on macrophages during atherosclerosis and facilitates the lipid phagocytosis of macrophages.

This study aims to assess the sex-specific association between HDL-C and incident AAA in older adults from the UK Biobank.
Methods: This cohort study included 86,184 males and 95,682 females aged ≥60 years from the UK biobank.
The objective of this research is to analyze the hemodynamic differences in five configurations of left subclavian artery (LSA) stent grafts after LSA endovascular reconstruction in thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). For numerical simulation, one three-dimensional thoracic aortic geometry model with an LSA stent graft retrograde curved orientation was reconstructed from post-TEVAR computed tomography angiography (CTA) images, and four potential LSA graft configurations were modified and reconstructed: three straight (0, 2, and 10 mm aortic extension) and one anterograde configuration. The blood perfusion of the LSA, flow field, and hemodynamic wall parameters were analyzed.

Diabetic limb ischemia (DLI) is a frequent complication of diabetes and the leading cause of non-traumatic amputation. Traditional treatments like stent placement and bypass surgery may not suit all patients. Exosome transplantation has emerged as a promising therapy.

Once PTS occurs, there is no specific treatment, and some patients constantly experience intolerable symptoms. Hence, prevention of PTS is important.

Background: A stent with characteristics of a hybrid design may have advantages in improving the patency of symptomatic iliofemoral vein obstruction. This study assessed the safety and effectiveness of the V-Mixtent Venous Stent in treating symptomatic iliofemoral outflow obstruction.
Methods: Eligible patients had a Clinical-Etiologic-Anatomic-Physiologic (CEAP) C classification of ≥ 3 or a Venous Clinical Severity Score (VCSS) pain score of ≥ 2.
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a common and potentially life-threatening condition. Chronic aortic inflammation is closely associated with the pathogenesis of AAA. Nerve injury-induced protein 1 (NINJ1) is increasingly acknowledged as a significant regulator of the inflammatory process.

Introduction: Prevention of recurrence after an episode of venous thromboembolism (VTE), and also the post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS), is still a recognised challenge. In this meta-analysis, we will summarise existing evidence to compare intelligent system follow-up and routine follow-up for patients with VTE.
Methods And Analysis: Relevant randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies will be included from the following databases: MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library.
