- A systematic review of 27 studies revealed that DM significantly increases the risk of severe clinical outcomes and mortality rates in patients with DF and WNF.
- The findings underscore the need for heightened monitoring and targeted care for diabetic patients in endemic areas, as well as more research to improve prevention and treatment strategies.
