Bidirectional embodied association between debt and physical burden.

There is a Chinese proverb saying that "when the debts are paid, the body feels light." From the perspective of embodied cognition, there may be a connection between indebtedness and the sensation of physical burden. However, the relationship between the two aspects has not been fully examined.

Comparison of bone ingrowth between two porous titanium alloy rods with biogenic lamellar structures and diamond crystal lattice on femoral condyles in rabbits.

Purpose: The comparison of bone ingrowth between two types of porous titanium alloy rods with different micro-architectures including diamond crystal lattice (Re-rod) and biogenic lamellar configurations (Bi-rod) on femoral condyles was investigated in this study.

Methods: Twelve rabbits were used. Re-rod (Re-rod group) and Bi-rod (Bi-rod group) were implanted randomly in femoral condyles of each rabbits respectively.

The effect of incentives on intertemporal choice: Choice, confidence, and eye movements.

Despite various studies examining intertemporal choice with hypothetical rewards due to problematic real reward delivery, there remains no substantial evidence on the effect of the incentives on the decision confidence and cognitive process in intertemporal choice and no comprehensive exploration on the loss domain. Hence, this study conducts an eye-tracking experiment to examine the effect of incentive approach and measure participants' decision confidence using a between-subject design in both gain and loss domains. Results replicated previous findings which show incentives do not affect intertemporal choice in the gain domain.
