Mineral-associated organic matter (MAOM) constitutes a significant portion of carbon (C) pools in wetlands, determining their role as C sinks or sources. Nevertheless, detailed knowledge of the response of MAOM formation pathways to wetland restoration is lacking. Here, we collected 0-20 cm soil samples from two typical wetlands (meadow and peat wetlands) subjected to both grazing and restoration treatments (through micro dam construction) in the Zoige area.

Soil stoichiometry of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) are indicators for nutrient balance. Shrub encroachment into grasslands could change nutrient concentrations and stoichiometry in soils, but the general patterns remain unclear. With a meta-analysis of a global dataset covering 344 observations from 68 studies, we examined the responses of grassland soil C:N:P stoichiometry to shrub encroachment under various environmental conditions.

In this work, TC4/TNTZO multi-layered composite as well as TNTZO and TC4 alloys were prepared by direct laser deposition (DLD) to investigate the microstructure, mechanical properties and in vitro bioactivity. The microstructure characterization shows that the multi-layered material is free of cracks and intermetallics while the interface is metallurgically bonded. The fine microstructure was observed in TC4 layer of the TC4/TNTZO multi-layered material, and a large amount of α' martensite exists in the transition zone.
