This study aimed to compare the pharmacokinetics of ginkgo flavone aglycone(GA) in plasma after oral administration of GA in normal and atherosclerosis(AS) model rats and to explore the mechanism of pharmacokinetic differences. The AS rats were prepared by using high-fat diets. Rats in the normal and AS model groups were orally given 200 mg·kg~(-1) GA, blood samples were collected at different time points, plasma was separated, and the plasma concentrations of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin in the normal and AS model groups were determined by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS).

Preparation of Magnetic Spongy Porous Carbon Skeleton Materials for Efficient Removal of BTEX.

Magnetic polymer microspheres have been extensively utilized as separable and highly efficient adsorbents in wastewater treatment. In this study, a series of novel magnetic spongy porous carbon skeleton materials (Mag-SPCS) have been designed and synthesized by acetonitrile suspension precipitation polymerization, which combines the advantages of the acetonitrile precipitation method and the suspension polymerization method. It was demonstrated that the transformation of the material morphology from microspheres to a porous sponge was achieved by a gradual decrease in the usage amount of ethylene glycol.

Laccase-Induced Gelation of Sugar Beet Pectin-Curcumin Nanocomplexes Enhanced by Genipin Crosslinking.

Research on the use of polysaccharides as hydrophobic bioactive carriers instead of proteins is still scarce. Sugar beet pectin (SBP) contains a small amount of protein and is a potential carrier for loading curcumin. In this work, SBP encapsulation, genipin crosslinking, and laccase-induced gelation were used to develop novel jelly food and improve the stability of curcumin without the incorporation of oil.

The Co-occurrence of Chronic Hepatitis B and Fibrosis Is Associated With a Decrease in Hepatic Global DNA Methylation Levels in Patients With Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

Global DNA hypomethylation has been reported in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and non-alcoholic fatty-liver disease (NAFLD). However, the global DNA methylation profile of patients with concurrent NAFLD and CHB (NAFLD + CHB) is still unclear. Objective: To determine the effectiveness and safety of short-term treatment of infliximab (IFX) in a group of Chinese patients with active Crohn's disease (CD).

Methods: Patients with established diagnosis of active CD were treated with IFX intravenously with a dose of 5 mg/kg at week 0, 2, 6. Clinical assessments were performed at baseline (week 0) and every week after IFX infusion until 8 weeks after the induction dose.
