Haplotype analysis of long-chain non-coding RNA NONHSAT102891 promoter polymorphisms and depression in Chinese individuals: A case-control association study.

Background: Our previous study reported that the single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs155979 GC in the promoter region of long-chain non-coding RNA (lncRNA) NONHSAT102891 affects depression susceptibility in a Chinese population.

Aim: To explored associations of two SNPs and haplotypes in the lncRNA NONHSAT102891 promoter region with depression susceptibility in Chinese population.

Methods: This this case-control association study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Chengdu Medical College (approval number: 201815).

[Relationship among pathological changes in Liver tissues and level of serum HBV DNA, HBeAg and ALT of 194 patients with chronic hepatitis B].

Objective: To study the relationships among pathological and immunohistochemical changes in liver tissues, and the HBeAg, HBV DNA, ALT level in the patients with chronic hepatitis B.

Methods: Pathological and immunohistochemical examinations of liver tissue liver function tests, serum HBV and HBV DNA detection were performed in 194 patients with chronic hepatitis B.

Results: There was significant difference between the serum HBeAg positive group and the negative group in G2, G3-4 S2, S3-4 in liver tissues; The serum HBV DNA level of the groups S0 and S1-4, and the hepatic activity index between the groups G0-1 and G2-4 were significantly different.

[The associations of the single nucleotide polymorphisms on TNF and CD14 promoters with the mortality of infection, systematic inflammatory response syndromec and sepsis in surgical patients].

Objective: To investigate the association of Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and CD14 promoter with the systematic inflammatory response syndromec (SIRS) and sepsis in surgical patients.

Methods: The DNA and RNA sample of PBMC from 113 patients, 40 of them being complicated with sepsis, and 100 healthy volunteers were extracted. The SNP genotypes of TNF-alpha -308 G/A, -863 C/A, CD14-159C/T and TNFB1/B2 were examined by restriction fragment length polymorphism PCR (PCR-RFLP).

Association of two polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor gene with acute severe pancreatitis.

Background: Acute severe pancreatitis (ASP) has an unpredictable course and outcome. Polymorphisms of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) gene have been related to TNF production and outcome in a variety of inflammatory diseases. We assessed whether TNF gene polymorphism and plasma concentrations of TNF-alpha were related to the occurrence of ASP and septic shock from it.

Association of two polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor gene with acute biliary pancreatitis.

Aim: To investigate TNF-alpha-308 and TNFB polymorphisms in acute biliary pancreatitis (ABP) and to related them to the plasma TNF-alpha levels.

Methods: Genomic DNA was prepared from peripheral blood leukocytes. Genotypes and allele frequencies were determined in patients (n=127) and healthy controls (n=102) using restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products.
