Staphylococcus aureus inhabits diverse habitats including food waste and wastewater treatment plants. Cases of S. aureus-induced infection are commonly reported worldwide.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFActivated sludge (AS) plays a vital role in removing organic pollutants and nutrients from wastewater. However, the risks posed by horizontal gene transfer (HGT) between bacteria in AS are still unclear. Here, a total of 478 high-quality non-redundant metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) were obtained.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThree-dimensional (3D) Pd-Pt alloy with coral-like nanostructures were synthesized via bubble dynamic templated electrodeposition method at room temperature. The morphology of the as-prepared nanostructures was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), EDS, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), respectively. Cyclic voltammetry method was adopted to evaluate the electrocatalytic activities of the synthesized electrodes toward oxygen reduction in KCl solution.
