Chronic inflammation plays a positive role in the development and progression of colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC). Medicinal plants and their extracts with anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory properties may be an effective treatment and prevention strategy for CAC. This research aimed to explore the potential chemoprevention of paeoniflorin (PF) for CAC by network pharmacology, molecular docking technology, and in vivo experiments.

Albendazole is the drug of choice for the treatment of echinococcosis, but it is difficult to meet clinical goals with this chemotherapy due to its low cure rate and associated side effects after its long-term use. Hence, novel anti-parasitic targets and effective treatment alternatives are urgently needed.

In this work, 1β-hydroxy alantolactone was isolated and five derivatives were prepared through different reactions at the C1-OH and C13-methylene motifs. The structure-activity relationships (SAR) of anti-inflammatory effects against NO production in RAW264.

Objective: To investigate the correlation among serum levels of manning-binding lectin (MBL), MBL-associated serine proteases-2 (MASP-2), complement C and high-sensitive C reactive protein (HsCRP) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: Fasting venous blood were collected from 50 RA patients (25 in active stage and 25 in remission) and 40 healthy subjects for detecting serum levels of MBL, MASP-2, complement C and HsCRP using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and immune turbidity assay.
Results: The serum levels of MBL and MASP-2 were significantly lower and HsCRP level was significantly higher in patients with RA (in both acute stage and remission) than in the healthy control group (P<0.
Objective: To investigate the immune function of mice being given the extract of Codonopsis Radix maintained with sulfur fumigation.
Methods: Mice were divided into five groups. Except the normal control group, the mice were fed with the extract of Codonopsis Radix maintained with sulfur fumigation at the high, medium and low doses, as well as medium dose of Codonopsis Radix maintained with low-temperature vacuum method, respectively.
