The implementation of circular economy (CE) policies in the management of urban policies have become essential for improving overall quality of life, development of green energy, and environmental management hence improving the image of cities. This research focuses on uncovering the core concepts of CE within urban environments, emphasizing actions that can improve green energy and environmental management. The CE aims to create a closed-loop system by prioritizing practices like remanufacturing, reusing, and recycling, which collectively help decrease resource usage and limit environmental damage.

Herein, we report a bimetallic MoO-xSnO/Sn nanoparticles uniformly anchored on N, S co-doped graphene nanosheets (MoO-xSnO/Sn@NSG) as an anode electrode for Li-ion battery via a one-step hydrothermal and thermal treatment approach. In the MoO-xSnO/Sn nanocomposite, the generated Sn-O-Mo bond can modulate the electronic and composition structures to improve the intrinsic conductivity of SnO and reinforce the structural stability during cycles.

Flash droughts (FDs), which are characterized by rapid intensification, occurred frequently over Eastern China, posing great challenges for drought forecasting and preparation on subseasonal timescale. However, the drivers of the rapid development of FDs are not well understood. By comparing with slow droughts (SDs), this study investigates the dominant physical processes responsible for FDs in four different regions over Eastern China through diagnosing moisture budgets and further linking them to large-scale atmospheric circulation patterns.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical history of 16 patients diagnosed with anti-LGI1 antibody encephalitis at the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 2021 to 2023. EEGs of patients with anti-LGI1 antibody encephalitis and healthy individuals were analyzed.
In this work, benefitting from the sensitive pH-responsiveness of both meso-tetra-(4-sulfonatophenyl) porphyrin (TPPS) and calixpyridinium, and their controllable strong noncovalent interactions, the first orthogonal dual-functional visual sensor for simultaneously and separately detecting acidic and alkaline substances without interference by using UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence emission spectra with both "turn on" signal changes was constructed by the supramolecular assembly of calixpyridinium with TPPS. Color and fluorescence orthogonal dual-functional visual "turn-on" sensing for acidic and alkaline glyphosate and additive by calixpyridinium-TPPS sensor was further practically applied. The preparation of this sensor is quite simple in an environmentally friendly water medium.

While previous meta-analyses have primarily focused on randomized controlled trials (RCTs), this study expands the scope by including both RCTs and non-RCTs to provide a more comprehensive assessment of tDCS efficacy in treating refractory epilepsy. Through a systematic search of "PUBMED, Embase and Cochrane", we sought relevant studies related to the research topic.

This enables their interaction with lipid-affinitive compounds and hydrophilic compounds, thereby augmenting their application in pharmaceutical formulations as agents for improving solubility, as well as fundamental elements of advanced drug delivery systems. Additionally, CDs, upon suitable modification, can strategically participate in the interaction with cellular components and physical barriers, such as the blood-brain barrier, where their intricate and multifunctional engagement leads to various biological impacts.

Regulating vanadia-based oxides has been widely utilized for fabricating effective difunctional catalysts for the simultaneous elimination of NO and chlorobenzene (CB). However, the notorious accumulation of polychlorinated species and excessively strong NH adsorption on the catalysts lead to the deterioration of multipollutant control (MPC) activity. Herein, protonated sulfate (-HSO) supported on vanadium-titanium catalysts via a preoccupied anchoring strategy are designed to prevent polychlorinated species and alleviate NH adsorption for the multipollutant control.

Methods: A literature search until May 23, 2023, was conducted using PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and the Web of Science to identify studies on stem cell therapy for IS.
This study aims to develop an organ-on-a-chip model, intervertebral Disc-on-a-Chip, to investigate integrated effects of mechanical loading and nutrition on disc health. The system consists of a detachable multilayer microfluidic chip, a Computer-Arduino-based control system, and a mechanical loading unit, which were optimized for accurate axial force measurement and the maintenance of a 21-day disc culture. To ensure accuracy of axial force, we optimized the axial mechanical loading regimen, used the Computer-Arduino-based system and low-profile force sensors (LPFS) to control the mechanical loading unit, and modeled the force distribution by using computational simulation.

Methods: The clinical data of 100 children diagnosed with PTSD following accidental injuries were retrospectively analyzed for the period spanning April 2021 to May 2023. There were 48 children who received standard nursing care between April 2021 and April 2022 in the control group, and 52 children who received nursing intervention based on stress system theory combined with painting therapy between May 2022 and May 2023 in the observation group.
As a basic parameter of rock, the rock bridge angle plays an important role in maintaining the stability of rock masses. To study the size effect of rock bridge angle on the uniaxial compressive strength of rocks, this paper adopts the principle of regression analysis and combines numerical simulation to carry out relevant research. The research results indicate that: (1) the uniaxial compressive strength decreases with the increase of the rock bridge angle, showing a power function relationship; (2) The uniaxial compressive strength decreases with the increase of rock size and tends to stabilize when the rock size is greater than 350 mm, showing a significant size effect.

Cancer immunotherapy is an attractive strategy because it stimulates immune cells to target malignant cells by regulating the intrinsic activity of the immune system. However, due to lacking many immunologic markers, it remains difficult to treat glioma, a representative "cold" tumor. Herein, to wake the "hot" tumor immunity of glioma, Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) is customized with a coating to create an immunogenic tumor microenvironment and further prove the effect in combination with the immune checkpoint agent anti-PD-1, exhibiting elevated therapeutic efficacy.

Cyclic desulfurization-regeneration-denitrification based on metal-free carbon materials is one of the most promising ways to remove NO and SO simultaneously. However, the impact of S-doping induced by the cyclic desulfurization and regeneration (C-S-R) process on the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is not well understood. Herein, it is demonstrated that the C-S-R process at 500 °C induces in situ S-doping with a significant accumulation of C-S-C structures.
