The rational integration of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) with anatase TiO nanostructures is a promising strategy to develop efficient photocatalysts. Herein, BiSQD/TiO photocatalyst was constructed by controllably depositing BiS QDs on flower-like TiO nanostructures and used for the photocatalytic redox-coupling reaction of H evolution and oxidative transformation of benzyl alcohol. The abundant amino groups in TiO nanostructures served as the anchoring sites for uniform growth of BiS QDs.

However, the dominant factors and their interactive mechanisms remain elusive. In this study, polystyrene nanoplastics (PSNPs) showed greater colloidal stability in Li Lake water compared to ultrapure water.

The formation of Fe(III) minerals in the periplasmic space has a significant effect on microbial metabolism and electron transfer, but direct evidence of iron ions entering the periplasm and resulting in periplasmic mineral precipitation and electron conduction properties has yet to be conclusively determined. Here, we investigated the pathways and amounts of iron, with different valence states and morphologies, entering the periplasmic space of the denitrifier sp.

Nanoplastics induce transgenerational toxicity to aquatic organisms, but the specific pathways for the maternal transfer of nanoplastics remain unclear. Herein, laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) observations identified the specific pathways on the maternal transfer of polystyrene (PS) nanoplastics (25 nm) in . and experiments showed that PS nanoplastics could enter the brood chamber through its opening and then be internalized to eggs and embryos using LSCM imaging (pathway I).

Exosomes belonged to extracellular vesicles, which were revealed as a crucial participator in intercellular communication. However, the expression pattern and effect of TAF-derived exosomes remained largely unknown in PA.

The present study investigated the antifungal mechanism by which aloe vera extract gel-biosynthesized (AVGE) selenium nanoparticles (Se NPs) suppressed -induced wilt disease in lettuce (). AVGE Se NPs were synthesized by utilizing sodium selenite as a Se source and AVGE as a biocompatible capping and reducing agent.

Organic pollutant degradation by biochar could be promoted by Fe because of the Fenton-like reaction. However, studies have also confirmed that reactive oxygen species (ROS) play only a limited role in organic pollutant degradation by biochar. Herein, we quantitatively identified 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) adsorption and degradation in Fe-biochar systems and obtained degradation (k) and adsorption rate constants (k) by two-compartment first-order kinetics modeling.

But the phase transition from MnHCF to Zinc hexacyanoferrate (ZnHCF) and the larger Stokes radius of Zn cause rapid capacity decay and poor rate performance in aqueous Zn battery. Hence, to overcome this challenge, a solvation structure of propylene carbonate (PC)-trifluoromethanesulfonate (Otf)-HO is designed and constructed.

Pyrolysis is an important method for efficiently recovering plastic monomers, fuels and chemicals from plastic waste. The depolymerization of the backbone structure of plastic waste is a key step of the pyrolysis process. Currently, researches on the pyrolysis mechanism of plastics with C-O/C-N bonds in the backbone are still not sufficiently in-depth and also lack systematic and comprehensive investigation.

However, the inherent passivation layer of mZVI hinders the sulfidation. In this study, we demonstrate that ionic solutions of Me-chloride (Me: Mg, Ca, K, Na and Fe) can accelerate the sulfidation of mZVI by S.

Here, we identified BHLHE40 as a promising target for PDAC through comprehensive analysis and weighted gene coexpression network analysis of RNA sequencing data and public databases, taking into account the unique characteristics of PDAC such as cancer-associated fibroblasts, infiltration of effector T cells, and tumor cell stemness. Additionally, we developed a prognostic risk model based on BHLHE40 and three other candidate genes (ITGA2, ITGA3, and ADAM9) to predict outcomes in PDAC patients.

Dual-task dialog language understanding aims to tackle two correlative dialog language understanding tasks simultaneously via leveraging their inherent correlations. In this paper, we put forward a new framework, whose core is relational temporal graph reasoning. We propose a speaker-aware temporal graph (SATG) and a dual-task relational temporal graph (DRTG) to facilitate relational temporal modeling in dialog understanding and dual-task reasoning.

In this study, we propose CoCrFeNi and CoCrFeNiMo high entropy alloys (HEAs) powders as bifunctional electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). While there is a performance gap compared to Pt/C, the prepared samples exhibit relatively good electrocatalytic activity with overpotentials of 156.

The impacts of simulated ultraviolet radiation weathering and liquid-phase potassium persulfate oxidation of TWP on the surface physicochemical properties were comparatively explored. The characterization results demonstrated that the content of carbon black, particle size and specific surface area of the aged TWP all decreased, while the changes of the hydrophobicity and polarity were inconsistent.
