The preparation of biological phenolic resin (PF) with green recyclable biomaterials instead of phenol is a research hotspot for solving current resource and environmental problems. In this study, on the basis of introducing lignin into the phenolic system, daidzein of a renewable resource with a rigid structure was selected to modify lignin-based phenolic resin (LPF), and the improvement of the mechanical and thermal properties of the modified phenolic resin under different substitution ratios was studied. The friction materials were prepared with a daidzein-modified lignin-based phenolic resin (D-LPF) as the matrix binder, and their effects on the mechanics and friction and wear properties of friction materials were investigated.

Methods: Participants were selected from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The relationships between the urinary concentrations of phenyl hydroxides, PAHs, and PAEs and the risk of arthritis were analyzed by generalized linear regression model.
Sacroiliitis is a challenging condition to diagnose accurately due to the subtle nature of its presentation in imaging studies. This study aims to improve the diagnostic accuracy of sacroiliitis by applying advanced machine learning techniques to computed tomography (CT) images. We employed five convolutional neural network (CNN) models-Visual Geometry Group 16-layer Network (VGG16), ResNet101, DenseNet, Inception-v4, and ResNeXt-50-to analyze a dataset of 830 CT images, including both sacroiliitis and non-sacroiliitis cases.

Objective: To introduce a new fluoroscopic method for assessing the quality of medial and lateral joint surface reduction during internal fixation of patellar fractures and to summarize the clinical outcomes of patients treated using this method.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 52 patients with patellar fractures treated between January 2018 and January 2022 who met the inclusion criteria. There were 27 male and 25 female patients, aged 21-75 years, with an average age of 62 years.
Background: We aimed to elucidate the causal relationship between plasma metabolites and the vulnerability to Osteoarthritis (OA), encompassing both hip OA and knee OA.
Methods: We conducted a two-way two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to investigate the association of 1,400 plasma metabolites with OA. The Inverse Variance Weighted (IVW) model served as the primary two-sample MR Analysis method, with supplementary analysis using the Weighted Median (WM) and MR Egger methods.

Methods: Total of 24 patients with displaced proximal clavicle fractures were treated from January 2017 to December 2020 including 16 males and 8 females, aged 28 to 66 years old. Among them, 20 cases were fresh fractures and 4 cases were old fractures.
Objective: With the help of finite element analysis, to explore the effect of proximal humeral bone cement enhanced screw plate fixation on the stability of internal fixation of osteoporotic proximal humeral fracture.
Methods: The digital model of unstable proximal humeral fracture with metaphyseal bone defect was made, and the finite element models of proximal humeral fracture bone cement enhanced screw plate fixation and common screw plate fixation were established respectively. The stress of cancellous bone around the screw, the overall stiffness, the maximum stress of the plate and the maximum stress of the screw were analyzed.

Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is a leading contributor to male infertility and is characterised by complex and diverse clinical features; however, genetic changes in the KS transcriptome remain largely unknown. We therefore used transcriptomic and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets from KS versus normal populations through the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database to identify gene biomarkers associated with the occurrence of KS. The investigation involved questionnaire surveys designed for all stakeholders along the industrial chain, including grow-out farmers, seed producers, fish processors, fish traders, and feed companies engaged in the catfish sector in Hubei Province and the tilapia sector in Guangdong Province during the strict period of control and after these control measures were lifted. We also attempted to summarize the government interventions and measures taken by different stakeholders along the value chain to minimize the damage caused by COVID-19 and support the recovery of different sectors in the aquaculture industry.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 26 patients (18 male, 8 female; mean age = 46, age range = 31-58 years) who were treated with horizontal triangular osteosynthesis using the combination of bilateral percutaneous iliosacral screws and transiliac plates due to Tile B3 pelvic fractures in our institution were included. The accompanying symptoms, blood loss, operation time , fracture healing time, and postoperative complications were observed and recorded.
