A study using network pharmacology examined how QiZhenYuanDan could potentially treat atherosclerosis (AS) by identifying its active components and targets from various herbal ingredients.
Through analysis of various databases, researchers found 118 common targets between QiZhenYuanDan and AS, assessing their biological functions and pathways using GO and KEGG analyses.
Results indicated that active ingredients, like quercetin and kaempferol, target key proteins such as IL-6 and PI3K-Akt, suggesting that QiZhenYuanDan may help treat AS by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress through a complex, multi-target approach.
