Objective: A retrospective analysis was performed to explore the clinical effect of the Posterior Nasal Nerve (PNN) resection combined with hormone transnasal nebulization on Difficult-to-Treat Rhinosinusitis (DTRS).
Methods: A total of 120 DTRS patients were selected and divided into a control group (n = 60) and a study group (n = 60) according to different treatments. The control group patients were treated via PNN resection, followed by normal saline transnasal nebulization; the study group patients were given PNN resection and then treated with budesonide suspension transnasal nebulization.

A recently proposed method is upgraded to convert two amplitude phase modulation systems (APMSs) to pure phase elements (PPEs), for generating the stable propagation Bessel beam and the axial multifoci beam, respectively. Phase functions of the PPEs are presented analytically. Numerical simulations by the complete Rayleigh-Sommerfeld method demonstrate that the converted PPE has implemented the same optical functionalities as the corresponding APMS, in either the longitudinal or the transverse direction.

The binary amplitude filter (BAF) is employed to generate stable propagation Bessel beams and axial multifoci beams, rather than the traditional continuous amplitude filter (CAF). We introduce a parameter along the azimuth direction, i.e.

In most THz near-field microscopies, the sample surface must be approached by a THz detector or source, which restricts the sample choice. Here, a technique was developed based on an air-plasma dynamic aperture, where two mutually perpendicular air-plasmas overlapped to form a cross-filament above a sample surface that modulated an incident THz beam.

However, the potential mechanism of AlH on EMs is still unclear. Based on the ReaxFF-lg method, the thermal decomposition of nitromethane/nano-aluminum hydride (NM/nano-AlH) composites were studied.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe thermal decomposition of pure nitromethane (NM) and NM/nano-aluminum (Al) composites was simulated by reactive molecular dynamics with ReaxFF-lg corrected force field parameters. The initial decomposition pathway of NM molecules in pure NM is C-N bond rupture. However, NM is decomposed early by the initial pathway of N-O bond rupture when it mixes with nano-Al because of the strong attraction of Al to O.

In this study we isolated a NAC gene from Capsicum annuum leaves, designated as CaNAC064. We characterized the amino acid sequence of CaNAC064 and found that it contain conserved domains of the NAC family, including a highly conserved N-terminus domain and a highly variable C-terminus domain.

Methods: This was a prospective multicenter, blinded study that compared SMCE with gastroscopy in patients from April 2018 to July 2018. All patients first underwent SMCE and then subsequently had gastroscopy with i.
The identification of gene(s) that are involved in Cd accumulation/tolerance is vital in developing crop cultivars with low Cd accumulation. We developed a doubled haploid (DH) population that was derived from a cross of Suyinmai 2 (Cd-sensitive) × Weisuobuzhi (Cd-tolerant) to conduct quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping studies. We assessed chlorophyll content, traits that are associated with development, metal concentration, and antioxidative enzyme activity in DH population lines and parents under control and Cd stress conditions.

The boundary formula of the cardioid-like hole is given analytically. Numerical results by the complete Rayleigh-Sommerfeld method reveal that the Bessel beam propagates stably in a considerably long axial range, after passing through the cardioid-like hole.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAging of organic aerosol particles is one of the most poorly understood topics in atmospheric aerosol research. Here, we used an aerosol flow tube together with an iodide-adduct high-resolution time-of-flight chemical-ionization mass spectrometer equipped with a Filter Inlet for Gases and AEROsols (FIGAERO-HRToF-CIMS) to investigate heterogeneous ozonolysis of oleic acid (OL), developing a comprehensive oxidation mechanism with observed products. In addition to the well-known first-generation C9 products including nonanal, nonanoic acid, azelaic acid, and 9-oxononanoic acid, the iodide-adduct chemical ionization permitted unambiguous determination of a large number of high-molecular-weight particulate products up to 670 Da with minimum amounts of fragmentation.

Terahertz wave with modulation spectrum is valuable in many fields. Terahertz spectrum has been modulated with a pure-phase liquid crystal spatial light modulator by shaping the femtosecond laser beam profile. In the experiment, terahertz wave is generated by femtosecond laser pulses in mode of Optical Rectification and then its signals are detected by a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system.

We employ this phase modulation mechanism to design the longitudinal field distribution of an ultrathin terahertz (THz) lens for achieving the axial long-focal-depth (LFD) property. Phase distributions of the designed lens are obtained by the Yang-Gu iterative amplitude-phase retrieval algorithm.

Four kinds of organic solvents, including positive hexane, liquid paraffin, ethyl alcohol, and water, were measured by using terahertz time-domain reflection spectroscopy. According the experiment models, two methods can be used to extract optical parameters. Refractive index and absorption coefficient for these four solvents were extracted with two methods and were compared with the results obtained by transmission measurements, which verified that these methods are correct.

Six kinds of non-polar organic solvents were measured by using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS), including positive hexane, cyclohexane, petroleum ether, carbon tetrachloride, carbon bisulfide, and toluene. These non-polar organic solvents are often used to solve other organics, so knowing the parameters of these non-polar organic solvents are important for studying optical properties of other organics in the frequency range of terahertz. The influence of the cuvette on THz signal was considered.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA theoretical model has been proposed to describe the dependence of the THz wave generated in a laser-induced air plasma on the external electric field. Using this model we predict the following, (i) previously observed results show that the THz pulse enhances linearly with the increase of the external field; (ii) the THz pulse varies as a cosine function with the angle between the direction of the external electric field and the polarization of the incident exciting beam; (iii) and the amplitude is proportional to the square of the intensity of the incident pulse in a low energy region. These predictions are validated by our experiment.
