The study sequenced and analyzed the chloroplast genome of Asarum sieboldii f. seoulense, comparing it with other medicinal plants in the Aristolochiaceae family to understand its unique characteristics and genetic differences.
The chloroplast genome of A. sieboldii f. seoulense is 167,293 bp long and contains 133 genes, including 89 protein-coding genes, along with various repeats and simple sequence repeats (SSRs).
The phylogenetic analysis showed that A. sieboldii f. seoulense is closely related to A. heterotropoides, contributing valuable insights for the classification and identification of medicinal plants within the Aristolochiaceae family.
