Cordyceps sinensis (C. sinensis) is a valuable edible fungus, known for its therapeutic benefits, including immune enhancement and anti-inflammatory effects, making it an important component in nutritional applications. However, its delicate nature makes long-term storage challenging, with conventional freezing often leading to the loss of bioactive compounds.

Methods: A total of 648 adult orthodontic patients (158 males and 490 females, median age 26) were included and completed a questionnaire containing sociodemographic information, insomnia severity index (ISI), the five major temporomandibular disorder symptoms (5Ts) checklist, and self-reported sleep bruxism. Presence of insomnia and TMD of the included patients was determined according to the diagnostic criteria, and statistical analyses were conducted as appropriate to compare ISI-related scores between TMD and non-TMD participants.
Purpose: This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the relationship between occipital spur (OS) with both craniocervical posture and craniofacial morphology.
Methods: The study involved 240 lateral cephalograms from subjects with and without OS. The craniocervical posture and facial morphology of every individual were assessed through Uceph software analysis of their cephalograms, considering 32 variables.
Oral behaviors and psychological distress are known to be related to temporomandibular disorders (TMDs). However, the relationship between various oral behaviors and specific TMD subgroups in adult women experiencing psychological distress is still unclear. To investigate the relationship between various oral behaviors and different TMD subgroups with different psychological distress states.

Methods: TMD patients and non-TMD participants were assessed using Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD). Demographic data and the 8-item JFLS questionnaire were collected to quantify jaw functional restriction.
High-k metal oxides are gradually replacing the traditional SiO dielectric layer in the new generation of electronic devices. In this paper, we report the production of five-element high entropy metal oxides (HEMOs) dielectric films by solution method and analyzed the role of each metal oxide in the system by characterizing the film properties. On this basis, we found optimal combination of (AlGaTiYZr)O with the best dielectric properties, exhibiting a low leakage current of 1.

However, the distributions and functions of CAF subpopulations vary across the four consensus molecular subtypes (CMSs) of CRC. This study performed single-cell RNA and bulk RNA sequencing and revealed that myofibroblast-like CAFs (myCAFs), tumor-like CAFs (tCAFs), inflammatory CAFs (iCAFs), CXCL14CAFs, and MTCAFs are notably enriched in CMS4 compared with other CMSs of CRC.

Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 1484 consecutive patients with LM and/or TVD in Shanxi Cardiovascular Hospital from January 2015 to December 2022 and divided them into the OPCAB group (n = 583) and the PCI group (with second-generation drug-eluting stents) (n = 901). Propensity score matching was used for 316 equally matched pairs of patients in the groups.
Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKis) exhibit significant interindividual pharmacokinetics, making therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) a promising approach for personalized therapy. However, simultaneous quantification of multiple BTKis poses technical challenges. A unified protocol for BTKis detection would be clinically desirable.

Radiographic and clinical data were collected for analysis. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) was used to diagnose DJD, including flattening, erosion, osteophytes, sclerosis and cysts.

However, research gaps remain regarding emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and intermediate-volatility organic compounds (IVOCs) from river vessels. In this study, we collected and analyzed organic vapor emissions, including non-methane hydrocarbon (NMHCs), oxygenated volatile organic compounds (OVOCs) and IVOCs, from three river vessels under different operating conditions.

Lateral cephalograms were obtained from 340 subjects (141 male, 199 female) aged 6 to 18 years, and their craniofacial characteristics and cervical vertebral maturity were assessed using the quantitative cervical vertebral maturity (QCVM) method. Age-based stratified analyses on craniofacial parameters and further comparison in QCVM Ⅲ subjects were performed.

However, existing methods for accurately measuring PPV remain insufficient. To develop a robust PPV prediction model, this study integrates the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm with four distinct optimization techniques: Runge Kutta Optimizer (RUN), Equilibrium Optimizer (EO), Gradient-Based Optimizer (GBO), and Reptile Search Algorithm (RSA).

Existing EHR code embeddings tailored for the general patient population fail to address the unique needs of pediatric patients. To bridge this gap, we introduce a transfer learning approach, MUltisource Graph Synthesis (MUGS), aimed at accurate knowledge extraction and relation detection in pediatric contexts.

Methods: A total of 565 participants were recruited and completed a questionnaire containing demographic characteristics, eight specific oral behaviors, and five major TMD symptoms (5Ts) checklist. Multivariate linear regression analysis was performed to assess the relationship between individual oral behavior and the number of TMD symptoms, after controlling for confounders.
Objectives: Oral behaviours (OB) are some oral overuse behaviours which could be observed in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). This study aims to investigate the association between TMD-related quality of life and OB to enhance understanding of these behaviours.
Methods: A total of 319 participants diagnosed with TMD were included in this research.
Treatment for hormone receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2-) breast cancer, the most common type of breast cancer, has faced challenges such as endocrine therapy resistance and distant relapse. Immunotherapy has shown progress in treating triple-negative breast cancer, but immunological research on HR+/HER2- breast cancer is still in its early stages. Here, we performed a multi-omics analysis of a large cohort of patients with HR+/HER2- breast cancer (n = 351) and revealed that HR+/HER2- breast cancer possessed a highly heterogeneous tumor immune microenvironment.

Cellular deconvolution via bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) presents a cost-effective and efficient alternative to experimental methods such as flow cytometry and single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) for analyzing the complex cellular composition of tumor microenvironments. Despite challenges due to heterogeneity within and among tumors, our innovative deep learning-based approach, DeSide, shows exceptional accuracy in estimating the proportions of 16 distinct cell types and subtypes within solid tumors. DeSide integrates biological pathways and assesses noncancerous cell types first, effectively sidestepping the issue of highly variable gene expression profiles (GEPs) associated with cancer cells.
