Organic-inorganic hybrid linear and nonlinear optical (NLO) materials have received increasingly wide spread attention in recent years. Herein, the first hybrid noncentrosymmetric (NCS) borophosphate, (CHN)BO(HPO) (4PBP), is rationally designed and synthesized by a covalent-linkage strategy. 4-pyridyl-boronic acid (4 PB) is considered as a bifunctional unit, which may effectively improve the optical properties and stability of the resultant material.

This study aimed to evaluate the ameliorative potential of MNAM on glucose metabolism in a gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) model. C57BL/6N mice were fed with a high-fat diet (HFD) for 6 weeks before pregnancy and throughout gestation to establish the GDM model.

This study aimed to determine how the enzymes involved in NAD+ salvage (Nampt, Nmnat1, Nrk1), clearance (Nnmt, Aox1, Cyp2e1), and consumption pathways (Sirt1, Sirt3, Sirt6, Parp1, Cd38) were regulated in the liver upon energy overload or shortage, as well as their relationships with glucose and lipid metabolism.

Objective: To compare the application valuable of flexible spatial scan statistics and kulldorff scanning window in the cluster detection and early warning of hepatitis A.
Methods: The case numbers and incidence data of hepatitis A in 2012 for all the counties (cities, districts)in Yunnan province were collected from China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention and the total number was 1 335. By extracting the time length by month, the flexible spatial scan statistics was tested by retrospective analyses of hepatitis A data in Yunnan in 2012 and compared the results with the Kulldorff circular scan statistic analyses.

Objective: To evaluate the relationship between the metabolism of arsenic and the damage of exon 5 and 8 of p53 gene from workers in a arsenic mill, and with real-time PCR technique, to establish the method probing the gene-specific DNA damage in people.
Methods: By real-time PCR, the damages of exon 5 and 8 of p53 gene were probed in 37 workers exposed highly to, 16 manager and logistic employees exposed less to an arsenic mill in Yunnan province, and also 25 local people who did not contact with any white arsenic in near past time. At the same time, the urinary total and organic arsenic of workers were detected.
